Ruby's sigh shows her inner worry, but that doesn't stop her from shutting her eyes and taking the content of the bottle.

It has a sharp taste, not what she was expecting, and it travels down her throat. She might grab Andrew's hand, her eyes widen with uncertainty.

“Hey, you're fine.” He assures her, holding the small of her back.

Ruby nods, but drowsiness has started to overtake her. Her eyes shut and she slips into unconsciousness.

This doesn't scare Andrew at all, it's all part of the process, he knew that it was going to happen.

He picks her up on her feet as if she is light as feathers. He takes her to the bed, but he meets Uma sitting up on her own, staring at him carrying her mother.

“What's wrong with mummy?” She rubs her eyes.

“Mummy just fell asleep. She is alright.” He smiles.

He puts Ruby into the bed and tucks her in. Her chest is heaving, she is very much alive, she just needs to be asleep for the powerful medicine to work in her body.
