CHAPTER 5: He Finally Agreed

"Leo, I was stopped by two watchdogs in your company. I'll give you two fucking minutes. Otherwise, I will leave."

Hearing what James said on the phone, Sophia laughed even more exaggeratedly and said, "This idiot is so funny! He's good at acting, isn't he? Haha, I'm so amused!"

Mr. Johnson could not be polite any longer. He lifted his chin at Sophia and signaled her to continue calling security.

After all, Miller's organization was one of the top 500 companies in the world. The reception hall represented the image of the company. They could not allow such trash to appear and cause a scene.

Soon, the security guards rushed over. Just as they were about to kick James out, a voice sounded from inside.

"Stop it!"

Leo ran out of the elevator with his secretary and shouted angrily.

James was the only heir of the company.

After much persuasion, he was finally willing to come home and inherit his family business. But these fools stopped him from coming in!

"Let go of him!" Leo glared at the two security guards and yelled angrily, "You idiot! Do you know who he is? How dare you be so rude to him?!"

Mr. Miller, I'm so sorry for what they did! Are you alright?" After scolding them, Leo apologized to James with a smile.

Leo called him Mr. Miller?

Sophia and Mr. Johnson were so dumbfounded.

Wasn't he just a delivery man?

He looked just like a poor loser. Why was Leo being so respectful towards him?

"Mr. Meyer, are you mistaken? This guy is just a delivery man. He was trying to break into our company just now, so..." However, Leo interrupted Sophia with a shout before he could finish speaking.

"Shut up!" Leo was furious and glared at her coldly.

Mr. Johnson hurriedly went forward and said flattering, "Mr. Meyer, please don't be angry. Just let me handle it. I'll chase him out right away."

At this time, James couldn't help but sigh. The snobs are always conceited. There's nothing I can do to change this fact."

"What nonsense are you talking about? How dare you be so rude in front of our CEO?" Mr. Johnson ordered the security guard next to him again, "Take him out. Hurry up!"

"Guys." Before the security guards could do anything, Leo pointed at Sophia and Mr. Johnson, instructing, "Throw these two idiots out! Don't allow them to step into our company from now on."

Mr. Meyer, why? What have we done?" Mr. Johnson was shocked when he heard that he was fired.

"Mr. Meyer, we didn't do anything wrong. It's all because..." Sophia was still trying to blame James at this time.

Prick up your ears and listened carefully," Leo said with a serious look as he pointed at James. "This is Mr. Miller, Sir Miller's son, the only heir of our company."

Mr. Miller, is it fine if I deal with them like this?" Leo bent down and smiled again.

"Not bad." James raised his eyebrows.

Mr. Johnson and Sophia looked at each other. Soon, they realized that they had made a huge mistake.

So, this young man was not a poor loser. He was indeed a big shot!

"Mr. Miller, I'm sorry. Please forgive this time," Sophia and Mr. Johnson said in unison.

Unfortunately, it was too late.

"Leo, don't just stand there! Throw them out," James said indifferently. Then, he puts his hands into his pockets and headed upstairs.

"Throw them out!" Leo repeated the instruction to the security guards and quickly followed James.

They went to the CEO's office on the top floor.

"Leo, you are living quite comfortably now." Looking at the exquisite furniture in the office, James said with a deeper meaning in his words, "I see you are doing quite well as the CEO of this company.

Leo did not answer James. Instead, he took a document from the tall and beautiful secretary beside him, placing it in front of James. Then, he said with a respectful smile, "Mr. Miller, please sign your name here on this document."

"Sign my name?" James scratched the back of his head, pushed the document to the side, and pretended to be confused. "What paper do I have to sign? I came here to ask for your help, as long as you..."

"No, I am not going to help you unless you sign the paper," Leo said as he put the document on the desk again.

"Leo, how dare you?"

James was furious. He slammed the desk and stood up.

"Mr. Miller, I'm not making things difficult for you." Leo pointed at the document in front of him and said, "You agreed to inherit your family assets not long ago. Why are you changing your mind now?"

"Leo, you've got guts, huh? How dare you scold me now?" James glared at Leo angrily.

"Mr. Miller, even if you ask me to scold you, I would never dare to do it." Since he couldn't force him, Leo started to use a softer approach. "You know what? To me, you are always a capable and intelligent person. Most importantly, you are a man of your words and actions."

"Don't try to flatter me. I'm telling you, I'll not sign today. I'll never sign it unless I'm dead!" James continued to speak harshly.

However, though he had refused a hundred times, James finally gave in. He signs the documents in the end.

"Congratulations, Mr. Miller! You have officially become the legal successor of the Miller family. Leo's wrinkled face revealed a happy smile as he had fulfilled his wish. "I'll report the good news to Sir Miller later and let everyone know it soon!.

Leo, have you heard about Cartier?" James raised his eyebrows and asked as he drank the coffee that Leo had personally made.

"Yeah, I know." Leo respectfully handed him the tissue and continued, "Mr. Miller, Cartier is one of the subsidiary companies under our cooperation. If you are interested, I will ask Mr. Alex, the CEO of Cartier, to visit you personally."

What?

Cartier belonged to his family!"

It seemed that Sir Miller had been developing their family business quite well over these years. If James had known it quite earlier, he would have returned quite earlier to inherit his family business.

"There's no need for that." James waved his hand and said, "For the time being, I don't want others to know my actual identity. Let's keep it a secret for a while."

"You just need to tell Mr. Alex to ask a bastard named Mr. Parker to withdraw a lawsuit against Ava and apologized to her.

"What? This bastard offended Mrs. Miller?" Hearing what James said, James was furious again.

Over these years, sir Miller had paid close attention to James, although he had cut off his connections with his family.

Moreover, sir Miller is quite fond of Ava his daughter-in-law.

"I'll leave the rest to you." James finished the coffee in his cup, stood up, and walked towards the door.

Mr. Miller, don't worry, I'll handle it properly. Staring at James back, Leo still wanted to ask him a question. He shouted, "When are you returning home to visit sir Miller?"

"We'll see." James casually waved his hand without even turning his head.

As soon as James left, Leo called sir Miller excitedly." Hello, sir Miller! Good news! Mr. Miller has finally signed it."

"That's great. We finally settled it," a hoarse weak voice came from the other end of the phone.

When James returned to the hospital. He was surprised to see...
