Chapter 27

It seemed like a dream to Rosalie. She didn’t have a hope of escaping from the attack of Den.

Is this how my life will end? Rosalie asked herself. No, I will rather kill myself.

She hurried to the kitchen, and Dallas followed her.

The moment she took a knife, Dallas grabbed it from her hand.

“Leave me alone. You cannot save me from Den. It would be better for me to kill myself before Den gets here. Give me back the knife,” Rosalie said.

Dallas kept the knife to the back, saying, “calm down. Everything would be fine. Trust me.”

Rosalie knelt down, placing her hands on her head, crying.

“I’m tired of myself, my life, my world. Please let me die.”

Dallas followed her back to the sitting room. Her phone rang several times, but she ignored it like a wrong number. They didn’t sleep throughout the night.

In the morning, Rosalie asked Dallas to drive her to Granny’s house, thinking that she would be saved there.
