"Have you heard? Lancelot Academy will begin their admission next week!"
"Ooh! How I wish I had my meridans opened. I heard only through that can you wield beta force and become a Magi" Aiden groaned as he covered his ears, trying his best to not let the topic of his classmates discussions get to him. "Hey, Aiden" a palm smacked his desk. The sound was so loud that it alerted the students in the class. "I heard in the past that you swore to attend Lancelot Academy? it's the number one school for Magis in the state you know?" a mocking voice rang. "What are you saying Rio?. Lancelot Academy is for Magis. You know I'm not" Aiden laughed self mockingly. Rio. He was a prodigy in the class due to the fact that he had awakened his meridans. That meant he had a high chance of becoming a Magi. As such, he was pretty popular in the class, with many girls swooning over him. "Tch. I heard your parents were powerful Magis before their deaths" Rio grinned."Shouldn't you have inherited their talent? say aren't you too much of a trash?" "Well, what can I say? things didn't go as expected. Unlike you.. I wasn't fated to be a Magi in this life" Aiden replied with a small smile. "Tch. Wipe off that smile dammit! are you mocking me or something?!" Pah! Rio landed a crisp slap on Aiden's face. "Yeah. Yeah. Sorry" Aiden held up his cheeks as he apologized. "Weakling. I expected you'd put up a fight" saying this, Rio sauntered off, while being surrounded by his loyal supporters. "Put up a fight huh?".. Riing! The electric bell for closing time rang, causing many students from Jymy Oles middle school to cheer happily as they grabbed their things preparing to go to their various homes. "Man, I heard the rates of murders happening this past week has risen by a notch" "Hm. I wonder what those from the Sentry Association are doing about this. They haven't found the killer after this long time has passed?""Yeah. The serial killer has been going on about this for weeks. Are the Sentries so unreliable?" "Well, at least the LEA has placed a lockdown right? I heard that the serial killer mostly acts at night" Two men discussed amongst themselves as they walked down the street, walking past Aiden who just happened to hear their discussion. "Serial Killer huh?" Aiden mumbled. After the introduction of magis and beta force, it was only natural for many to begin cultivating malicious thoughts. There existed some magis who believed that their destinies were to become the superior race. As such, they would often bully those who were not magis, committing nefarious crimes and going scot free. They were often regarded as Mercenaries by the public. But like both sides of a coin, there existed a group who believed in the notion: with great power, comes great responsibility. These like minded individuals banded together to form the Sentry Association. These individuals (sentries) made it their task to protect innocent citizens from the evil paws of the Mercenaries. They were also in charge of dealing with Fiends and threats to society. Over time, it became a much coveted occupation... Creek.. Creek.. Creek.. Crickets made their unique sounds as frogs croaked, all under the brilliant illumination of the mum, surrounded by glittering stars. "Tomorrow is the exams. Although my grades are the best in the class, Mr. Shrimp is pretty unpredictable. It won't hurt to revise a bit" Aiden yawned as he held an old oil lamp in one hand, and a large textbook on the other. Placing the textbook on the wooden floor, he attempted to lighten up the lamp. "Aish!" he groaned in frustration when he noticed that the oil in the lamp had run out. "I forgot to buy some oil on my way back from school" He took a glance at the reflection of the moon on his window. "It's pretty late now. I wonder if the convienence store is still open?"But just at that moment, the discussion he overheard from the two men on his way back from school rang in his head. "They mentioned a seriak killer who acts at night. What if he shows up?" he shivered when he thought of such a possibility. Shit.. He was scared of leaving the house, but the oil was very important. Without it, he wouldn't be able to light his lamp and read. Taking a deep breath, he weighed both choices inwardly before making a choice. He was going to risk everything and go buy the oil. Perhaps, the serial killer won't even reach the area he was in. Dead set, he went back to his cozy room. Using the almost obscure rays of the moon reflected through his window, he removed a wad of banknotes from underneath his pillow. Tucking them safely in his pocket, he left the house. After carefully padlocking the door, he started jogging towards the closest convenience store... "Damn that Sentry! I never thought that my movement would be tracked somehow!"A figure looking haggard with various bruises and torn clothing staggered into an alleyway, leaning against a trash can, panting heavily. Judging from the body shape, it was a female. However, her hair which was stained with blood was drapped over her shoulder, concealing her face. "Aish! I need juice before that damn Sentry comes here, or else my life will be forfeit!" Aisha shrieked in agony and frustration. "Eh?" just then, her pointy ears twitched. Moments later, a jogging individual emerged; it was Aiden! "Juiice!!" Aisha shrieked as she pounced forward. Aiden who was jogging through the alley suddenly felt something pounced on him. It felt ice cold, however he felt a bouncy elastic like mound pressing against his chest. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to savor this sensation because he suddenly felt two sharp objects sink into his collar bone. "Ughh!!" he groaned as he tried to wriggle his Body free. Unfortunately, Aisha's strong grip kept him in place."Yes! Yes! Yes!" like a mad beast, Aisha held onto Aiden like her life depended on it. She could already feel some of her lost stamina being restored. "Blood sucker! leave the kid!!" an angry voice yelled, followed by a thick vine that slammed against Aisha, sending her flying. "Ugh! time to go!" Aisha groaned as she stood up wobbly, fleeing into the darkness... "Hm?" Aiden groaned as he opened his eyes, instantly inhaling an unpleasant sulphuric smell. "Hospital?" he mumbled weakly, unconsciously touching the right side of his collarbone, which just happened to be bandaged. Memories of what happened at the dark alley flooded into his brain. He shivered. What was wrong with that strange individual and why did she bite his neck? No matter how hard Aiden thought about it, things just didn't make any sense. At that moment, the door opened and a doctor walked in. "You are awake young man? what a relief" the doctor smiled charismatically."D-Doctor.. how long was I unconscious?" Aiden asked. "A whole week"

Lancelot Academy..It was a prestigious school to breed young magis, being the number one in Halowe State. It was located in a 1st tier city called Gold Spring city and was the most powerful force there, apart from the Viscount Manor. However currently, the gates of Lancelot Academy was wide ajar, welcoming a rapid stream of visitors. This was because, today was the day of the Academy's admission. An event that only happened once a year. The Academy's landscape was ridiculously huge, so was the building structure. Silence. Everybody present at the venue of Lancelot Academy's entrance exam stared at Rio like he was a monster. "T-Two Mojos?" "And they are both King tiers!" "I heard the country's number one Sentry has two mojos. But they are just king tier and queen tier talents" "Do you mean to say this kid is even more talented than the country's number one Sentry?" Hearing the audiences discussions about him, Rio grinned smugly. "I'm the best in the world! before my talent, everybody is just trash!" "W-What a pleasant surprise. To think we have a talented youngster in our midst with an innate talent of dual mojos" Teacher Krillin said, barely able to contain his excitement. Innate talent! Unlike normal talent, Magis with innate talent were destined for great things. Talent usually referred to the mojo a Magi wielded. But innate talent.. there was no ranking to it. If a Magi had an innate talent, then they were destined for great things. That was their fate, already set in stone! Since

"Yeah! Yeah! Pummel him!" "That's what I'm talking about!" "Loser! get up and fight!" Entering the battle rambo building, Aiden winced in discomfort at the loud noises the audiences were making. Due to being a Vampire, his senses were more enhanced than humans. As such, the noise was amplified a hundred times over. It was as if someone placed a megaphone besides his ear and was screaming into it. "First time here kid?" the middle aged man who was walking besides Aiden, smiled when he read his body language. "Hm. I don't know how to address you sir" Aiden replied. "My name is Xavier. What's yours?" "Aiden" Mr. Xavier grinned. "Alright Aiden, let's get you booked up!" Leading the way, the duo arrived at a counter. "I want to book a fight" Mr. Xavier said to the female behind the counter. "Oh? what battle stage please?" the counter lady asked. Mr. Xavier observed Aiden for a bit before responding. "The Beta stage""Alright. Let me prepare the booking. Is your fighter a Mag

"Nightshade Royal Academy?" Aiden repeated with skpectism. "Tsk. Tsk. It is an Academy owned by the Nightshade Country" Mr. Xavier grinned. "Say what?!" Aiden almost had an heart attack. "You aren't kidding withme right?" he asked suspiciously. In this current world, there were cities, counties, States, dukedoms, kingdoms, empires and continents. The Sentry Association was an organization that had jurisdiction over all Magis. Their counterpart were the Mercenary Fraternity, that often lived in the shadows. However, there also existed noble and royal power that ruled over their own regions in the world. Starting from the bottom were the Lords. They often ruled over hamlets and villages. Then were the Barons who ruled over towns. Viscounts were nobles and rulers of cities. Counts were nobles who ruled over counties. Earls were nobles ranked higher than Counts. They ruled over states. Dukes ruled over Dukedoms, Kings ruled over Countries, Emperors ruled over Continents. As for

"This is the Academy?" Aiden mumbled as he alighted down from a black limousine. The sheer size and decor of the Academy's building was beyond anything he could ever imagine. Taking a look at the premises, he noticed that all the students came in expensive looking cars. From the grandeur of their movement and the dignified air surrounding them, even an infant could tell that they were all nobles. "Pheew. I can do this" Aiden took a breather as he sauntered towards the school building. At the lobby area, there were four platforms with plaques besides them. Freshmen Sophomore Junior Senior "Hm. According to my card. I am at the class D for the Freshmen Students" Aiden mumbled to himself as he followed a group who were headed for the platform with the *Freshmen* plaque besides it. "Though, I wonder what the platform is used for?" he mumbled with curiosity. As if answering his question, a male noble amongst the group stepped on the platform. As soon as he did, the platform got

Not long after Nyx departure, a new teacher walked into the Class D. It was a female with dark spots underneath her eyes. Her lips were covered in black lip gloss and she was a devilish beauty. Comparing her to the maid at Xavier's house, Aiden shook his head. When speaking of natural assets although the Teacher before him was slightly above average, she didn't come close. "Good morning Class D! I am Lisa, your Geography Teacher!" "Oh. She has a beautiful voice. Not bad" Aiden mumbled to himself. "Hm.. Let's begin our classes then. Today's topic is going to be the distinction of regions.." Lisa began her teaching, which she did for over thirty minutes. If not for her beautiful face, many students (mostly guys) would've dozed off because of just how boring the Geography class was. "As for how I did it, I kinda compared you both skin tone. Not to mention that you both have a dangerous vibe around you" Charlotte explained. "Ohh" Aiden nodded. "Oh?" the golem calmly mouthed as it watched the missile attacks inch closer, when it suddenly tapped the air with its left index finger. Fwossh! "If he even left his most precious soul item behind, then that only means one thing.. this is indeed his legacy Ancient Ruins..!" Nedia licked the tip of his left fang in an ecstatic manner. "I only have to break past this darn pocket space and all of his legacy inheritance will be mine.. Nedia rubbed both palms against each other as he stood besides the large door located at the innermost end of the hall. "Just like I suspected.. he knows something.." Elena balled her fist as she stared at Nedia gingerly. The other six Sophomores besides her fixated their gazes on Nedia as well as they waited for him to spill. "Does anybody recognize these characters?" he pointed at a series of characters across the surface of the door."I seem to have seen my house core technique written with the same character.." Elena observed the characters keenly. Unfortunately no matter how hard she looked, she couldn't translate them. "Now that you mention, I seem to have also seen it on a couple of records in my house as well.." another Sophomore agreed with a deep nod. "Do you know what it means?" Elena suddenly shot Nedia a look. "Hah. If you noble sons and daughters can't translate
Chapter 369 — Retreat
Just when it felt like Captain Veronica's kick was about to connect, it suddenly changed trajectory as they landed on the neck of the bone bison. At that moment, Captain Veronica suddenly weaved through a strange hand seal as she coldly spat. "Zone!.. Regressium!" "Oh shit!" [Alphabet G] finally realized her endgame. Unfortunately he did so a tad bit too late. Splurt! A volatile burst of energy surged outward, followed by a fountain of green blood as the hulking frame of [Alphabet G] got knocked into the air. Still in mid air, his eyes were about to roll back when he suddenly sensed a cold breeze brush past him as Captain Veronica appeared above him, her right foot slamming towards his chest.. Just like her left arm, her right foot was currently wrapped in a knee length burnish copper bone like boot. Spwat! As soon as her boot connected with his chest, [Alphabet G] popped like a water balloon as his entire body exploded into a bloody mush, bringing about a massive energy sur

"You talked a big game earlier. I even thought my Zone wouldn't be enough to stop you.." a scoff rang out as [Alphabet G] slowly emerged from a thick cloud of steam. As soon as he emerged, the whole area in ruins from the massive collision almost instantly became encased in ice. Perhaps it was due to the fact that he was using Zone but the intensity of his current ice seemed to have increased by a tremendous fold. Even the surrounding air was freezing. "I see.." a regretful sigh echoed in response. Currently Captain Leo still had his knees on the ground, however half of his body was now blown into bits. However if one looked keenly, they would notice that a layer of frost seemed to be emerging from within his pores.. freezing him from the inside out. Mark Of Ice.. This was a powerful ice attribute hax. However unlike regular ice attribute techniques, this ice had the ability to freeze the opponent from the inside out once they made even the slightest contact with it "To think
Chapter 367 — Zone Expansum
"Die!" [Alphabet G] suddenly rose up on his feet. The only thing that Captain Sloane saw was a pair of blood- veined eyes staring hatefully at him before the other party disappeared. Perhaps out of reflex, Captain Leo crossed both fist in front of his face and chest while he skipped five paces back in a single bound Whoosh! His feet had barely made contact with the ground when the hulking frame of [Alphabet G] appeared before him, his entire body ridden with wriggling blood red worm like veins while he clasped the five fingers on both fists together, lifting it above his head as he brought them down on Captain Leo. Bang; The collision resulted in a burst of sharp wind blades that extended outward, completely razing the ground and reshaping the terrain. As for both figures, they were forcefully knocked flying back in opposite directions while vomiting a copious amount of blood. Although the strength of [Alphabet G] seemed to have increased, they still were no match for th

"Cannot be spoken in the same sentence as you? indeed you are right.." "Eh?" Captain Leo's vigilance immediately got aroused as he suddenly skipped twenty paces back in a single bound. He had barely drawn that distance when Aisha suddenly appeared besides [Alphabet G], her gaze seemingly inspecting his injuries."Hmm.. still an inferior specimen. Like I suspected, nobody can rival master's innovative abilities.." she mumbled. "What did you mean by that?" Captain Leo demanded sharply. "Oh?" Aisha pursed her lips in amusement. "You don't thihk I'm going to attack you? right here?.. right now?" her eyes squinted dangerously at the last part. "If you wanted to, I'll be dead already. " "Oh. And what makes you think so?" "Because you are strong.. really strong. However you are not bored.. you are curious.." Aisha tilted her neck attentively. "Now I'm hooked!" Captain Leo inhaled sharply. Although he knew that if he continued speaking would count as playing in the other part
Chapter 365 — You Lost Before We Began
When the dust of the massive collision settled, two figures landed back on the ground with their feet as they stared at their opponent, both their expressions containing dread and shock. "You managed to withstand that?" Captain Leo heaved for breath as he cautiously took a couple steps back, totally ignoring the icy steam wafting from the mouth of the lion head golden gauntlet around his arm. Burning Pride.. this was perhaps the most publicly acclaimed overpowered light attribute hex. Although it was merely an intermediate rank Hex, the difficulty of comprehending it was beyond that of even advanced Hexes! With only five out of a hundred light attribute Magis being capable of comprehending it to the initial level of comprehension. However although the comprehension of the hex was taxing, its effect more than compensated for this setback. Basically, the User projects a lion head shaped light gauntlet that wraps around both of their arms. Although the brute strength packed in thi
