The Sentry Summit eventually ended with all the participants unable to reach a mutual decision together. On one side, some supported the notion of the Sentry Guilds focusing solely on protecting the civilians. According to them, they were Sentries, not the royal family personal guards. The other group supported the implementation of the Project Sentinel Program. According to them, doing so would temper the young bloods. Another group agreed with the second group, claiming that the Royal families were still members of the Nation and as such were also entitled to the protection from the Sentry Association. Then there was the last group that suggested instead of the Sentry Guilds to provide assistance, the four region Dukes should provide assistance to the Royal Family. Each Sentry who attended the Sentry Summit all had their own ideas as such it was extremely difficult for them to reach the same decision. Seeing that the argument was approaching the stage of conflict, August adj
6 pm..Rio glanced at the wall clock before remarking impatiently."Why are we still waiting this long? the more time we waste here, those bastards are spending it breaking the Rune Matrix imprint. It's only a matter of time before the whole nation plunges into disaster!" Currently, they were inside Sterling's office. Spark, Derulo, Lara, the Mall Owner alongside seven Sentries were present in the office. Seated behind the large desk was Sterling with a stern expression.Just like the seven Sentries from the Inner Mountain Guild, he was clad in the official uniform of the Inner Mountain Guild Sentries."Be patient young man" the Mall Owner chuckled as he glanced outside towards the gradually darkening skies that was being reflected through the window. "We have no hope of breaking through the Spatial Beacon without borrowing the power of the stars.." he explained solemnly."Borrowing powers from the stars huh? to think such a feat is possible. Arcane really is an esoteric technique"
Aiden sat besides the window of the bus which was headed towards Yellow Peach Springs. It was currently nighttime, causing him to see beautiful tiny fireflies as they beat their wings erratically while the bus trailed past them. Seeing them so clearly, Aiden couldn't help but let out a sigh. It was an amazing sight! "I just hope that maid doesn't rat me out" he sighed while glancing at the leather bag besides his feet. Inside the leather bag was his Red Suit alias disguise. He figured if he wanted to save Tasha who was in trouble, he better do it behind the mask. If his identity got revealed, it might cause unnecessary questions and suspicions. He couldn't help but recall how his conversation with the maid went... -———————FLASH BACK —————.. —[Failure to Complete this Quest within the allocated Time period will result in a minus three levels decrease in all your stats] "Damn this system!" Aiden had the urge to punch the system panel screen before him. Unfortunately, it wa
"Remember to be stealth.. and watch out for an ambush. There might be members of the Silver Tooth Tiger Gang lying in ambush" Sterling warned solemnly as he took cautious step forward, headed towards the Mall that had previously been under attack by the Silver Tooth Tiger Gang. At the same time, he kept glancing around his surrounding in case of any suspicious movements.. Behind him were seven of the most capable Sentries in the Inner Mountain Guild. He had refrained from bringing the full force of the Inner Mountain Guild to participate in the operation, for fear that the Guild would face an attack while unguarded. However the Inner Mountain Guild were not the only one getting involved. They had Spark and the rest of Team Fifteen amongst their ranks. Not to mention that they had informed the two other Guilds in Yellow Peach Springs, who promised to send some reinforcement. "Strange. There's no sign of the Silver Tooth Tiger Gang" Derulo noticed that the premises of the mall w
"Chi. Chi. Chi. The sound of teeth grinding against each other rang out as strange creatures numbering ten slowly emerged from the spiralling vortex. They appeared like mummies, except for the fact that they lacked any bandages to conceal their rotten bony bodies. They were clad in oversized rusty battle armors and weilding a variety of weapons like staves, sabres and swords. Even from where they stood, the group could sense a sharp aura emanating from these newcomers. "Corpse Puppets!!" Spark's eyes shot up as he recognized these strange creatures. "And they are Whiteleaf Warlocks nothenless!" Sterling added. When the group behind him heard what he said, they didn't dare relax. Although all seven of the Sentries present were either at the peak of the Omega Warrior rank or Omega Lords, they didn't regard the Corpse Puppets before them as weaklings just because they were Whiteleaf Warlocks. "I'll take those two. Their aura is more robust than the others" Spark pointed toward
"Damnit!!" a shriek rang out as a figure staggered out from a dark corner of the mall, his throat pierced with a sharp dagger. Gurrgle.. Blood gushed out from the other party's throat as he collapsed to the ground, instantly swimming in a newly formed pool of his blood. As soon as the newcomer appeared, he instantly became the center of attention. By now all the Corpse Puppets were already dealt with.. "Damnit! to think I'd have to use my body switching talisman? that's a life saving treasure now it's all gone!!" a cry of anguish rang as two figures stepped out from the dark corner of the mall. "It's you bastards!!" Lara immediately gnashed her teeth in fury as she pointed angrily at the newcomers. "Do you know them?" Spark gave Lara a questioning look, totally unaware that he had just escaped the terrifying jaws of death. "Teacher those are the ones who kidnapped Tasha!" As soon as Spark heard this, his gaze became frosty. "Where are you keeping my student?" he demanded i
Boom. Boom. Boom. Two figures exchanged an array of moves as they flashed about like a blur. Behind them was an open corridor and within this corridor was a spinning vortex. Boom! Both combatants distanced themselves from each other, using this as an opportunity to catch their breaths. "It looks like I underestimated you yet again. You are no weakling.." Kai smirked However just like before, he still sounded relaxed. "The Red Ones in this nation are known to be cocky, but aren't you taking your own to a whole new level!" Spark shook his head. While they fought, Spark had already figured that his opponent was a Vampire. And a very fast one at that. "Hehehe. You naturally cannot compare me with these failures.. " Kai replied as he grabbed the dagger he held tightly. "How about we go at it again" he chuckled, causing Spark to raise his brows. "Don't tell me you're not taking this fight serious?" "No I'm not" Kai replied blankly. "You're not worthy of me going all out" "
With Spark holding down Kai, the group managed to pass through the portal unhindered. And when they did, they instantly arrived at a large unfamiliar hall. The first thing that came to their notice was the sinister looking blood red altar alongside the blood essence accumulator. "What the hell!" Rio scrunched his nose in disgust. It couldn't be helped since the atmosphere of the hall was hung up with a thick ironic smell of blood. "Hm?" perhaps due to his outburst, Lennox sensed their arrival, causing him to glance towards their direction. "How did you lot manage to get past Kai!" Lennox sounded shocked when he saw the new arrivals. He had sent Kai to his intercept the group because he had a premonition that none of Kaito's goons would make the cut. However he never would've expected that his colleague would fail as well. His eyes suddenly went pitch black like his attention was focused on something. When they regained their usual color, his expression became grimly serious.
