"No more bets!" The Dealer suddenly announced as he began spinning the roulette wheel before tossing the ball in.

All the gamblers held their breaths as they watched the wheel spin, each silently praying for the ball to stop at the number or group of numbers they choose.

Spin. Spin. Spin. Time seemed to have slowed down as all eyes were on the spinning wheel.

Pulock.

It finally stopped spinning. However when all the gamblers saw the number it fell on, their eyes bulged in shock.

"Number 1! It stopped at number 1!" a gambler sucked in a deep breath as he cast an envious but surprised look at Raya.

— So lucky!

The Dealer placed the puke on number 1. Removing the other chips on the roulette table, he handed Raya a cash note.

"Once you are ready to leave the casino, head over to the cashier to receive your cash"

"Hmph. To think you'd be so lucky" Laybron snorted with displeasure.

"Heh. I told you I am the Queen of Roulette" Raya grinned as she tucked in the cash note into the c

Monday Morning... Aiden woke up with lazy groaned as soon as he heard the alarm ring. After the incident that happened the previous night, he hadn't been in contact with Raya or the rest of the Blood Fiend gangsters since then. Recalling the altercation Raya had with Zabulon and the scene of her consuming his heart, he felt a chill run down his spine. He never knew there was such a side to Vampires. Hell! He didn't even know much about Vampires. Just then, he received a notification from the system. —[You have Sired a Ghoul!] "Hm?" Aiden was taken aback when he read the system notification. He sired a ghoul? When? how? Hell, he didn't even know what a ghoul was. "Perhaps the system is broken or something" he mumbled to himself. Pushing off these thoughts from his head, he headed into the bathroom to freshen up... When Aiden arrived at class, he noticed that the manner at which his classmates looked at him had taken a taken a mighty change. Walking towards his seat, he dropp

Tap. Tap. Tap. Sounds of rapid footsteps echoed out loud as two figures walked down a long winding hallway. One of them was a middle aged man in English suit and well trimmed beards, who had the appearance of a refined tycoon and mogul. Walking besides him was a young lady in a silk blouse and office skirt reaching barely past her thighs. She had curly blonde locks and fiery red lipstick on her lips. "Say Sir. Bart, you appear very tired. Perhaps, I should give you a little massage while we are on the Raiver back to Fenris City?" the lady asked the middle aged man identified as Sir. Bart, with a coquettish tone. "Tch. I'm just too pissed off that's all. Although I won't miss out on your massage, my dear Elle. How can I say no to your magic-like fingers. "Heh. So, how was the 3rd degree Council?" the lady whose name was Elle asked. "Tch. My qualifications to become a Baron was revoked " Sir Bart replied with a scowl as he seemed to have recalled an unpleasant memory. "It was

"You and You. Step out. Introduce yourselves" Justin suddenly pointed at two students, a girl and a boy. "My name is Lynn" the boy introduced himself as he stepped out. "My name is Nora" the girl introduced herself as well. "Alright. Here's what's going to happen. You both are going to engage in a little spar. Like I said, strictly hand-hand-combat. You can win if you knock your opponent to the ground or once they surrender. Injuries are allowed, but don't just over do it" Dropping this words, Justin had the rest of the students step back a bit to give the students enough fighting space. "Begin " As soon as Justin dropped these words, Lynn pounced on Nora, sending a kick at her stomach. However, Nora seemed to have anticipated his move, initiating a string of back flips. "Hmph" Lynn raced towards her her again, throwing another punch. "It is useless. I am from a family of skilled acrobats. I.." Just as Nora attempted to initiate another backflip, her eyes bulged in surprise

"Sir Owling!" Two LEA Officers who were on patrol at the premises of Fenris City LRA police department building greeted the Sentry as soon as he got down from his black limo. "The interrogation room has been set up already" one of the LEA Officers informed him. "That's good. Take me there now" Owling replied as he adjusted his glasses... "So, last week, we touched upon the topic of Hex comprehension.." Nyx began his class as he scanned the whole of Class D with his scary sharp gaze. "Today we are going to exchange in a little spar amongst ourselves. You are free to use your Hex as you like.." "Though remember that at your current stage, you can at most cast an Hex once before completely exhausting your beta force reserve. So use your Hex only when you are sure of victory " Nyx warned before pointing at Aiden and Derulo. "Currently you both are the strongest students in Class D, so you are going to spar amongst yourselves while we watch.." When the students of Class D heard N

"Excellent Duel" Justin applauded as two other Class A students stepped out after completing their duel. All in all, most of the students had dueled among themselves and more than a half of them could now coat their bodies in Beta Force. "You both step out" he pointed at the two remaining students who just happened to be Rio and Jimmy. "Tch. I can't believe I was paired with a wimpy peasant such as you. Honestly, this duel is going to be much easier than I had anticipated " Jimmy chuckled, the baby fat on his cheeks jiggling. "Tch. Only trash spew nonsense from their mouths.." Dropping this sentence, Rio coated his feets with Beta Force as he made a bee-line towards Jimmy. His speed was affected by the influence of the Beta Force, causing it to be double the speed of a peak human athlete. "Heh. You indeed have skills. However my cultivation is one star ahead of you" Jimmy scorned, easily side-stepping before swinging his fist coated with Beta Force, aiming at Rio's face.

School hours had finally ended up for the day and a multitude of Nightshade Royale Academy students could be seen gathered at the spacious parking lot. There were an almost endless fleet of exotic cars. "Wait up" Aiden was about to get aboard his black limo when he heard a call from behind him When he turned, he saw Derulo racing towards him, appearing completely unhurt, all thanks to an healing type Rune Matrix. "What is it?" Aiden asked suspiciously. Last time he checked, Derulo wasn't on talking terma with anybody. He was the type who always kept to himself. "You fight good and you are powerful. However, I can tell that you are neither a Magi, Runelock nor a Warlock" "So? I hear that a lot" Aiden shrugged. "I won't ask how you managed to have such physical strength, but.." "I believe I could've won that fight if Teacher Nyx hadn't restricted me from using Weapon Force.. So you should know that you were just battling me with just fifty percent of my real strength" Derulo

Just then, Owling felt his phone vibrate inside his pocket. "Huh?" checking the caller ID, he saw that it was an unknown number. "Am I speaking with the Sentry named Owling?" a Male voice rang from the other end. "Yes. And who might you be?" Owling asked, obviously not surprised. As a Sentry, this wasn't the first time he had received a call from an unknown number. "I am Derek Holts, a Detective in the Fenris City LEA Department" "Oh? What is the issue?" Owling didn't bother mincing words. If it was a call from the LEA, that meant it was a matter related to Mercenaries. "There is a crime scene that I need you to personally inspect. My team's investigations suggests that it is related to the Red Ones" Detective Derek reported. "Another case?" Owling frowned as he massaged his temples. "I will be there shortly" After hanging up, he addressed Spencer. "Since you were sent here to assist me, you won't mind tagging along right?" "Tch..".. "Goodnight Nick " bidding his good

"Sir Bart I don't think this is the right thing to do" a feminine voice rang in the dark of the night, with hints of skeptism and hesitation. Currently, two individuals were standing before the door of a night club. They were Bart and Elle. From where they stood, they could hear the loud booming sound of music as well as laughters, even without using their Vampiric enhanced hearing. "That bastard Kain obviously was responsible for the incident that happened at that casino! Do you know how much millions I have spent in running that casino? Yet it now belongs to the crooked World Council, and I have no choice but to swallow my anger and watch as my precious asset lands in the hands of somebody else.." Bart shook his head, appearing incensed. "Not only that, he even had that bitch kill one of my henchmen, a Noseferatu!! no way in hell am I going to sit back and do nothing " "Eve

Right before her eyes, August had merely released his aura, yet it was enough to blast through a diamond grade matrix! a matrix she had only managed to construct after pooling her energy with a Gold Cape Dragon Mark Runelock while also sacrificing a drop of her spirit blood. At that moment, a lot of thoughts were running through her mind, making her totally unaware when August gaze shifted towards her direction. "You.. You're next!" With the pages of his Hex Tome rapidly flipping, an Hex Pattern lit up behind August. However compared to the Hex Pattern casted by low level Magis, his own was quite different.. Perhaps it might've been because he was under the effect of his Domain Expansum, the interlinked glowing neidan strokes that comprised the entire schematics of the Hex Pattern were all connected to a single star that stood out like a sore thumb; whether it was th

It wasn't just his movement speed that was being affected, he could also sense that the flow of his beta force was beginning to slow down as well. "You've begun feeling the effect no?" with her previously pale expression regaining its color, Captain Millie's Rune Cape appeared behind her as she took into the skies, looking down on the confused August with a sneer. "Basically you are trapped in the Diamond grade Rune Matrix, Twelve Points G Pole.." "D-diamond grade?!" August chest tightened. What the hell was this?! he just concluded battling an opponent with a delta level enchanted armament, now he was trapped within a friggin diamond grade rune matrix Although he had no idea what the capab

Although it was a given that taking down August was going to result in serious casualties and perhaps death, it still didn't hurt less when it eventually happened. "Brace yourselves!" Owling's warning had only just rang out when a fast moving figure shot out from the cloud of dust. Although August seemed to be clearly using the Celestial Steps footwork, his trajectory appeared to be strictly linear. "To think he's already capable of utilizing the second level of Celestial Steps, Blazing Trail.." Captain High Valley's expression went ashen. "Now!" Owling held out his fist. At that moment, Captain Millie and a chubby male Sentry who went by the name Beau, suddenly shot into the air as their fingers perfo

With a single lift of his brows, a terrifying pressure descending upon Nedia as he got pummeled into the lake of blood. "Hmm.. from what you've told me so far about this Rio character, you envy him.." Dr. List observed Aiden keenly. They've been ten minutes deep in their therapy session and so far, she's succeeded in holding a two way conversation with him. For her, this was progress. "I envy the privileges he had. There was even a time when I wished to have his life.." Aiden shook his head self loathingly. "Oh? and why would you ever think of that? you have to know that no matter how it appears to be on the surface, nobody's life is a rose without its thorns.." Aiden's brows knitted as he adopted a serious tone. "Rio was different. He had everything I ever wanted.. loving parents who spent all their time doting on him, a confident social life.. if I started listing them I'm afraid I won't be able to stop.." "Hmm.. makes sense. However you mentioned parents who spent all their time doting on him.. do you mean to say they are dead?" Aiden nodded, causing Dr. List to exhale. "That must've been

"Blood?" at that moment, her vision suddenly became fuzzy as she nearly tripped before finally finding her balance. "Tch. It would seem that I am near my limit.. " she clicked her tongue regretfully before glancing towards the rising cloud of icy mist. "Luckily I was able to dish out serious damage before my fumes ran out.." "Oh really?" a mocking sneer suddenly echoed, causing a shiver to run up Captain Sarai's spine. She had only just done that when a heavy and equally fast object slammed down on her previous position. If she had been any second later, no do

He appeared to be on the verge on saying something before pushing his lips as he nodded. Dr. List narrowed her eyes, easily seeing through his lies. "So I heard from your friend outside that you've been experiencing some mental nightmarish experiences?" Dr. List donned her professional face. "She's just exaggerating.. I was just having a bad dream. That's all.." "Heh.." Dr. List adjusted the rims of her glasses. "You aren't being completely honest with me. This surely isn't your first time experiencing this kind of trance like state.. am I wrong?" Aiden tried averting his gaze as his lips moved, obviously in the process of spewing another lie. "Huh?" the look of confidence on August expression soon disappeared a couple moments after. "What is the meaning of this?!" his expression went ashen. No matter how much energy he channeled into the longsword, not a single rune lit up. Forget partial activation, there wasn't even a single reaction. "What did you do?!" clenching his jaws in rage, he roared in outrage. "What I did?" "For somebody of your status, I thought you'd know about this fact by now?' the sneer in Captain Sarai's statement stroked August rage even more. "The situation is simple really. I have received the recognition of my artifact spirit, you haven't. As such no matter whether your enchanted armament surpasses mine in rankings, it won't mean shit. Right now, your enchanted armament is nothing but a useless hunk of metal.. " "No. No!" August expression fell. "You must be lying!" August lips curled in amusement as he noticed the beads of sweat across Captain Saria's forehead. "Are you worried that you might cause more damage than good? don't worry I can tell that the runic matrix around us is sturdy enough to withstand anything you throw at it.." "... However I don't think the same can be said for me!" tapping his feet on the ground, August disappeared. "Hngh" flipping the hilt of her katana, Captain Sarai suddenly pierced it towards her right. "Nice try!" August suddenly arrived at that particular spot. The tip of the katana was merely a couple inches from piercing through his throat. However August footwork speed suddenly tripled as the blade missed him narrowly. Extending his right palm, he slammed it against Captain Sarai's face, as he sh
