"You and You. Step out. Introduce yourselves" Justin suddenly pointed at two students, a girl and a boy.

"My name is Lynn" the boy introduced himself as he stepped out.

"My name is Nora" the girl introduced herself as well.

"Alright. Here's what's going to happen. You both are going to engage in a little spar. Like I said, strictly hand-hand-combat. You can win if you knock your opponent to the ground or once they surrender. Injuries are allowed, but don't just over do it"

Dropping this words, Justin had the rest of the students step back a bit to give the students enough fighting space.

"Begin "

As soon as Justin dropped these words, Lynn pounced on Nora, sending a kick at her stomach.

However, Nora seemed to have anticipated his move, initiating a string of back flips.

"Hmph" Lynn raced towards her her again, throwing another punch.

"It is useless. I am from a family of skilled acrobats. I.."

Just as Nora attempted to initiate another backflip, her eyes bulged in surprise

"So, last week, we touched upon the topic of Hex comprehension.." Nyx began his class as he scanned the whole of Class D with his scary sharp gaze. "Today we are going to exchange in a little spar amongst ourselves. You are free to use your Hex as you like.." "Though remember that at your current stage, you can at most cast an Hex once before completely exhausting your beta force reserve. So use your Hex only when you are sure of victory " Nyx warned before pointing at Aiden and Derulo. "Currently you both are the strongest students in Class D, so you are going to spar amongst yourselves while we watch.." When the students of Class D heard N

"Excellent Duel" Justin applauded as two other Class A students stepped out after completing their duel. All in all, most of the students had dueled among themselves and more than a half of them could now coat their bodies in Beta Force. "You both step out" he pointed at the two remaining students who just happened to be Rio and Jimmy. "Tch. I can't believe I was paired with a wimpy peasant such as you. Honestly, this duel is going to be much easier than I had anticipated " Jimmy chuckled, the baby fat on his cheeks jiggling. "Tch. Only trash spew nonsense from their mouths.." Dropping this sentence, Rio coated his feets with Beta Force as he made a bee-line towards Jimmy. His speed was affected by the influence of the Beta Force, causing it to be double the speed of a peak human athlete. "Heh. You indeed have skills. However my cultivation is one star ahead of you" Jimmy scorned, easily side-stepping before swinging his fist coated with Beta Force, aiming at Rio's face.

School hours had finally ended up for the day and a multitude of Nightshade Royale Academy students could be seen gathered at the spacious parking lot. There were an almost endless fleet of exotic cars. "Wait up" Aiden was about to get aboard his black limo when he heard a call from behind him When he turned, he saw Derulo racing towards him, appearing completely unhurt, all thanks to an healing type Rune Matrix. "What is it?" Aiden asked suspiciously. Last time he checked, Derulo wasn't on talking terma with anybody. He was the type who always kept to himself. "You fight good and you are powerful. However, I can tell that you are neither a Magi, Runelock nor a Warlock" "So? I hear that a lot" Aiden shrugged. "I won't ask how you managed to have such physical strength, but.." "I believe I could've won that fight if Teacher Nyx hadn't restricted me from using Weapon Force.. So you should know that you were just battling me with just fifty percent of my real strength" Derulo

Just then, Owling felt his phone vibrate inside his pocket. "Huh?" checking the caller ID, he saw that it was an unknown number. "Am I speaking with the Sentry named Owling?" a Male voice rang from the other end. "Yes. And who might you be?" Owling asked, obviously not surprised. As a Sentry, this wasn't the first time he had received a call from an unknown number. "I am Derek Holts, a Detective in the Fenris City LEA Department" "Oh? What is the issue?" Owling didn't bother mincing words. If it was a call from the LEA, that meant it was a matter related to Mercenaries. "There is a crime scene that I need you to personally inspect. My team's investigations suggests that it is related to the Red Ones" Detective Derek reported. "Another case?" Owling frowned as he massaged his temples. "I will be there shortly" After hanging up, he addressed Spencer. "Since you were sent here to assist me, you won't mind tagging along right?" "Tch..".. "Goodnight Nick " bidding his good

"That bastard Kain obviously was responsible for the incident that happened at that casino! Do you know how much millions I have spent in running that casino? Yet it now belongs to the crooked World Council, and I have no choice but to swallow my anger and watch as my precious asset lands in the hands of somebody else.." "What was that for?!" Raya scowled at Aiden when she saw the blood puddle on the floor. "I was practicing a new move" Aiden replied innocently. "Didn't your parents teach you table manners? How can you play with food like it's something casual?!" Raya berated. Giving Aiden one last look, she went back to her feeding. Noticing that she was no longer paying any attention to him, Aiden pointed his finger at the puddle of blood before him. This time, he decided to extract a small volume. Just like he had suspected, he didn't feel any headache. "Form" he clenched his fist, causing the floating blood to squirm as they condensed into the form of a pin. A blood red tiny pin, the length of his thumb. "A pin huh?" he smirked wryly. Just now, he had intended to form a sword, yet the results wasn't something he had expected. What was he even going to do with this kind of small pin?! Allowing the blood pin to fall on his palm, Aiden touched the tip of the pin. "Hm" he felt a piercing

It wasn't just his movement speed that was being affected, he could also sense that the flow of his beta force was beginning to slow down as well. "You've begun feeling the effect no?" with her previously pale expression regaining its color, Captain Millie's Rune Cape appeared behind her as she took into the skies, looking down on the confused August with a sneer. "Basically you are trapped in the Diamond grade Rune Matrix, Twelve Points G Pole.." "D-diamond grade?!" August chest tightened. They've been ten minutes deep in their therapy session and so far, she's succeeded in holding a two way conversation with him. For her, this was progress. "I envy the privileges he had. There was even a time when I wished to have his life.." Aiden shook his head self loathingly. "Oh? and why would you ever think of that? you have to know that no matter how it appears to be on the surface, nobody's life is a rose without its thorns.." Aiden's brows knitted as he adopted a serious tone. "Rio was different. He had everything I ever wanted.. loving parents who spent all their time doting on him, a confident social life.. if I started listing them I'm afraid I won't be able to stop.." "Hmm.. makes sense. However you mentioned parents who spent all their time doting on him.. do you mean to say they are dead?" Aiden nodded, causing Dr. List to exhale. "That must've been

"Blood?" at that moment, her vision suddenly became fuzzy as she nearly tripped before finally finding her balance. "Tch. It would seem that I am near my limit.. "So I heard from your friend outside that you've been experiencing some mental nightmarish experiences?" Dr. List donned her professional face. "She's just exaggerating.. I was just having a bad dream. That's all.." "Heh.." Dr. List adjusted the rims of her glasses. "You aren't being completely honest with me. "What did you do?!" clenching his jaws in rage, he roared in outrage. "What I did?" "Are you worried that you might cause more damage than good? don't worry I can tell that the runic matrix around us is sturdy enough to withstand anything you throw at it.." "... However I don't think the same can be said for me!" tapping his feet on the ground, August disappeared. "Hngh" flipping the hilt of her katana, Captain Sarai suddenly pierced it towards her right.
