Chapter 2: System Activation

Marcus was woken to the sound of the Prison's System Alarm, Looking around to the Gloomy Prison Cell he is placed in, The Stench was like that of a dead rat, This is really a living hell to him.

Few minutes earlier, A Prison Guard came to his Cell to inform him that he has a Visitor, It suprises Marcus since he never had a guest Except for his Attorney who has been working on his case.

Marcus slowly got up from his bed when he took a deep breath!

He walked up to the door when the door automatically unlocked itself, He opened the door and left, He passed the hallway and he climbed down the stairs, While approaching the Visiting Room, He could feel the Deadly gazes of the Prison Guards.

Everyone were hostile towards him, And besides it's not something new to Marcus Renold already, After all...He has being despises by the world, Hated by all...He has nothing left Except for his sisters.

Marcus entered the Visiting Room to see an old man sitted while patiently waiting for him, The Old Man is in his seventies already while holding a bag with him, The Old Man turned his gaze to face Marcus.

Both flashing themselves their heartwarming smiles!

Marcus Swiftly rushed to hug the Old Man, Recognizing him to be his Father's Butler, Someone who he also thought despised since he never came visiting, Old Man Santos is standing before Marcus, He couldn't believe his eyes.

" Old Man Santos, So it is you....You know I am quite shocked to see you here, I thought you joined the rest to despise me " Marcus said after Breaking the hug, They were both excited to see themselves.

" Ah come of it boy, Even if the world hates you....There is no way Old Man Santos will join them, After all, You are my boy " Old Man Santos said with a funny tone and they both laughed at his voice and expression.

This is the first time in Ten Years since Marcus genuinely smiled, He was happy from within and they took a seat, Facing themselves, Their hearts were brimming with happiness to see themselves after so many years.

" Marcus I can't believe you are a big boy now....The last time I saw you, You were just a little boy " Old Man Santos was the first to speak after some minutes of just smiling, They were too happy to speak..

" Yea Yea I have grown, it's being Ten Years since I was sent to jail for something I never did, There is not even a single soul that could stand to defend me " Marcus said, His Happy mood immediately soured.

Remembering how pathetic his life could change his entire mood in a second, He really is quite unfortunate, You know....It really pains him to be experiencing so much pain for something he never did.

" Marcus, You don't need to me sad, Old Man Santos has always been here for you, Although I can't do much to save you but I have a gift for you, It belongs to your father " Old Man Santos said.

" A gift that belongs to my father? Why are you giving it to me " Marcus asked.

" I am giving it to you because you deserve it, This was your father's greatest treasure so I want you to keep it and cherish it, Your sisters were taking from you, I don't even know how to reach to them now " Old Man Santos said.

Not letting the tears to flow out, He may be an Old Man but still he is quite charming, That's the reason why Marcus cherished him the most, He respected Old Man Santos even though they were other staffs.

It was already The Old Man and no one else....The Others were Overwhelmed by jealousy!!

Marcus slowly cleaned the tears threatening the fall with a warm smile on his face, He told the bag presented to him by the Old Man, He looked around to see that The Prison Guards were not watching when he took out a wristwatch.

" Uhmm Old Man Santos? What is this? " Marcus asked while staring at the watch he held, It's a model he has never seen before, maybe a latest model but there is something definitely strange about it.

" This is a Parting gift from me and your father, You will soon find out what it is but don't let anyone get their hands on it, It belongs to you only " Old Man Santos said, You could tell by his expression he is serious.

" Alright I get it, I will keep it safe " Marcus said when he quickly hid the wristwatch in his pants, He could tell that there was something bothering Old Man Santos, He tries his best to hide it but he was shaking.

" Old Man Santos? Is anything the problem? " Marcus asked.

" No no not at all, Now that I have given you the Gift, I think I will start going now " Old Man Santos said when he smiled, His smiles were too beautiful that you wouldn't know when you reciprocated with a warm smile.

They hugged eachother when The Old Man immediately left the Prison Facility, The Prison Guards searched through Marcus before allowing back into his Cell, He knows where to hide things.

After the Search was complete, Marcus was ordered back into his Cell!!

Lying down on the bed and facing the ceiling, Marcus couldn't stop thinking about Old Man Santos, His movements and everything was kinda to him, He knew something really was going on.

Marcus brightly heavily when he sighed out loud, He tried closing his eyes to sleep but sleep didn't complete, Marcus knew something wasn't right, There is something going on that he needs to understand.

He sat down on the bed, Examining the Wristwatch giving to him by Old Man Santos, Thankfully there wasn't any surveillance cameras placed in his Prison Cell, Marcus slowly placed the Wristwatch on his wrist.

Marcus heard a strange Systematic Voice when he looked around in shock, Staring at the Ceiling to know what was happening when he looked down to see The Wristwatch coding some unknown matrix.

[Anaylze Process Confirmed: Subject Identified, state your name!! ]

The Systematic Voice spoke out again but this time he understood where it was coming from, Immediately he placed that Wristwatch on his wrist, All this things started happening, Marcus was stunned.

" Ma..Ma..Marcus Renold, My name is Marcus Renold!! " Marcus answered when he slowly stood up from the bed, Standing on the Mattress while staring at the strange system on his Wristwatch.

[ Identity confirmed: Marcus Renold, Son of Mr Fedrick Renold, Congratulations, You are my new Master, And now to transfer data into the mainstream ]

The Systematic Voice was heard once again When Marcus's eyes started Glowing, Everywhere slowly became dizzy as Marcus staggered back, He couldn't control his movements since his Conciousness slowly faded away.

His head was very heavy, It was like a million things were downloading in his Brain, without wasting time, Marcus fell on the bed, He is Conciousness but the will to move was not there, He couldn't even speak.

Immediately The Systematic Voice went mute, Marcus slowly opened his eyes, regaining control of his body, He couldn't believe what was happening when he took out the phone he stole from a Inmate.

He stole the phone and he secretly created an account, Not that he expected anything to enter his new bank account, Marcus widened his eyes in shock when he stared at the phone to see eleven billion dollars credited into his account.

Marcus Couldn't Believe what was happening, He thought everything that happened was simply a joke but he realized this is reality, holding a phone that shows eleven billion dollars in his account.

He turns to face the Wristwatch but it already self destructed, The System was already transferred into Marcus already, Recognizing his voice as it's Master, Marcus is now the master of a system.

Marcus took a deep breath when he rested his back on the wall, With this...He now have a goal to face, He needs to free himself from this Prison and to locate the person who killed his father and framed him up.

He plans to get everything he has lost back....But first, He needs to be free from this Prison, He cannot spend billions of dollars in prison, If he is found guilty, He might even be sentenced to death.

He can't let that happen...He can't afford to die!!
