“How did you get this?” Maxwell could not believe his eyes. On his hands were important documents of many assets that had his name in it.

“Well, you can start by saying a thank you to me. Maybe after that, the questions may start coming.”

Maxwell frowned and turned his face away. “How did you get this documents?” He repeated his question but Angel didn't answer it.

“That question is not necessary. What's important now is how to take back all that belongs to you. Look Max, you've been stolen from and cheated for many years. All you should think about now is to kick those criminals out of your properties.”

Maxwell was quiet. He was no longer ignorant of the whole thing. In fact, he was thinking so hard on how to take back his parents' legacy. Fortunately, everything had just been made easier for him by the same woman who joined forces with his oppressors and sent him to prison.

What was really happening? Maxwell was in a state of bewilderment.

He stole a glance at the lady whose gaze was focused on the road and said offhandedly. “I already know about this. Now, tell me why you're helping me? Is this another ploy between you and those people?”

“I'll never go back to my vomit. I give you my words. Now tell me what you mean by what you just said. How did you know about this?” Angel replied to him.

“I met someone in prison who told me my real identity and all that transpired after my parents died.” Maxwell replied.

“Wow! Ok, so what's your next plan?” Angel asked concernedly as she pulled over before a restaurant.

“I don't have a plan yet. I'm just going to show my face to those people and draw the battle line. I'll make them pay dearly for taking away all that belongs to me.”

Maxwell turned to Angel and asked. “Why have you brought me here?”

“So you can eat some good food and have the energy to face your enemies. Come on.”

With a smile on her face, Angel alighted from the car and made her way into the restaurant while Maxwell followed behind. He was looking so rough and unkept that people could not help but glance in his direction.

Maxwell was on his way into the restaurant when he bumped into a waiter.

“Hey, watch it.” The waiter shouted at Maxwell before scrutinizing him. With a disdainful look, he said to him. “How can a beggarly looking man like you afford our meals here? Get lost because we have nothing to spare to a dirty beggar.”

The waiter was about to push Maxwell away but Angel stopped him.

“He's with me so stop yelling and learn to be respectful.” Angel gave the man a dirty look and he quickly retreated without another word.

With a smirk on his face, Maxwell watched the man walk away. However, his face had been marked and Maxwell promised in his heart to make him pay back for such insolence.

“Ignore him. Let's just go and eat something. I'm hungry.”

After the incident with the waiter, Maxwell was no longer in the mood to eat in the restaurant. However, his stomach was not in agreement with him because it suddenly began to make some noise. He was very hungry but the anger in him would not let him agree.

After a second thought, Maxwell decided to follow Angel who had already made their orders.

“Thank you.”

Angel heard Maxwell mutter after they had finished their meals.

“I don't know why you decided to help me but I'm grateful for the documents. However, I'm never going to forgive you for what you did to me.”

Maxwell wanted to stand up from his seat but thought of a question he should have asked her for some time now.

“Tell me, how did you find out that I was to be released today?”

“I've been following up on you. That's how I found out.” Angel said with a glint in her eyes but Maxwell didn't even smile. He kept a serious face and continued to stare at her without a word.

After a moment of silence, he sighed and then said to her. “I'll be on my way now. However, I don't want to ever see your face again so don't show it to me.”

With that, he stood up, left the place and went to hail a cab that would be taking him to the Morgans' residence. A place which was supposed to be his.

Maxwell could not believe that he had been a slave in his own house. Victor Morgan really did a very good job hiding the truth about his identity from him.

Before a cab could stop before him, Maxwell felt someone hold his arm from behind. Turning around, he saw Angel giving him a disapproving look. “What is it?”

Maxwell gradually took her hand out of his arm.

“I don't want you to confront them. I think we should work together and bring them down so that you can take your rightful position. Those people are dangerous, Max.”

“I don't need your sympathy or help. Even though I appreciate what you just did for me, it's best you stay away from me. I can take care of myself.” Maxwell retorted coldly while hailing another cab which stopped before him.

“Ok, let me give you some money.” Angel wanted to take out some money from her bag but Maxwell ignored her and started towards the cab. He got into it without looking back.

“Be careful and don't let them know what you have.” Angel advised him before the car drove off.

The drive to the Mansion took half an hour and almost all the money he had in his pocket. He only had a few dollars that could only get him some snacks.

While Maxwell knocked on the gate of the house, he thought about his next line of action because he was homeless for the meantime.

The security guard came outside and was stunned to see Maxwell. However, he had to act on the instructions from Victor. Maxwell was no longer welcome at the place.

“Um, who are you looking for?” The man shook away the shock on his face and pretended not to recognize Maxwell.”

“Go in there and call your boss for me. Or should I say, your fake boss.” Maxwell snorted coldly. He wasn't interested in how the man reacted towards him because he had no business with him.

“He's not around so I'd advise you to leave before he comes back.”

Ignoring the man before him, Maxwell shoved him aside and let himself into the inside.
