22-A Free Skin

Ibara's Pov:

After feeling the mana form around me I quickly raised my guard, at least I won't be taken easily.

To my surprise the mana just helped me with reliving my tiredness and some stiff muscles.

After i regain my sense, I found my self riding in my father shoulder.

It's a good feeling looking at people down from a high place, but what I like more is the feeling of looking down on Izuro and making him feel annoyance.

I don't know if it's normal but I like playing on his nerves and hold his hand to calm him when he get angry.

Reaching the place of our gathering I saw Izuro.

But there something not normal .

His eyes are black and glowing.

I asked him loudly about his eyes.

Quickly seeing himself in a mirror handed by aunt,  he start exclaiming with surprise and happiness written on his face.

Gazing at his eyes again I felt like I saw them before, but I can't remember at all. It's like something is messing from the memory.

While sharing his joy with me he handed me the mirror while saying there is something on my face.

Looking at the mirror that he handed me, I saw it.

Under my right eye, a snowflake (❄️)  tattoo is glowing with an ice blue light, same as the previous light pillar color.

Gazing on it again, I suddenly felt like I can remember something important if I continue focusing on it.

I felt like i will reach it soon.

When I almost remembered, a splitting headache hit me.

I lost my balance, luckily this stupid guy catched me before hitting the ground.

I swear I heard a young voice saying

[------]: "Not now, their still young, the brain can't contain it yet"

It's like he was ordering something.

After that I start feeling normal while the tattoo stopped glowing and so Izuro eyes.

___________Izuro's Pov:

After lending the mirror to Ibara ,I saw her suddenly losing balance.

Quickly catching her and letting her head rest on my shoulder ,I asked.

"What happened, are you feeling unwell, why did you force yourself, also didn't I say when you're tired said it beforehand so we can rest?"

I don't know how I said this many words.

Its like I did it many times that my body do it automatically.

Weird.

[Ibara]: "I'm fine it's just a headache"

"Oh just? You could say that if I didn't saw you losing balance and almost falling"

I start checking her forehead temperature with my hand.

Phew at least it's normal. A bit cold like usual.

Looking at the now normal tattoo, there is no glowing like before but it still remain.

Welp what about my eyes??

Quickly looking at the mirror I saw that my eyes returned to normal.

Sad.

Wait, there is something in my pupils.

Glancing at it again I found it was a tattoo too.

Phew atleast I didn't lose the free skin.

It's in the shape of a four pointed black star.

But it's not that big and fit perfectly in the golden pupils.

I don't know it's meaning but even if it's a curse I will accept it.

It's very handsome and add some mystery to my eyes.

Thank you light pillar or any other deity be it evil or good.

While holding the now recovered Ibara I quickly asked father and uncle

"Can we go home now? She's tired and so I am"

Looking at the now less crowd I breathed a sigh of relief.

At least we didn't cause a panic among those guys.

Riding the car and sitting next to Ibara whose head is now resting at my shoulder, I took my phone to find 20+ missed calls.

WTF.

Did I have many friends and didn't know?

Looking at the caller name it's all from the same guy.

Ryuo.

He also send me some message asking me how I'm doing.

Hmm, the last message is new.

He asked me if I heard of the light pillars that appear recently while sending me a picture.

Welp how should I reply??

Let's just be honest.

°Yeah it was me and Ibara°

OK that's it .

Quickly closing my phone as to not receive other calls, I start poking Ibara Cheek.

It's like a cold jelly, it's really comfortable touching it in a hot day.

I now understand why aunt always knead her cheek.

[Ibara]: "what the hell are you doing"

"Just wasting time until we reach home"

[Ibara]: "do it in another place"

"When you remove your head from my shoulder ,I will stop"

Hearing my answer she snorted at me while continue closing her eyes and resting in my shoulder.

Well this feeling isn't bad.

We stayed like that until we reached home.

Stepping into the familiar castle I said while stretching

"Finally, I can continue my daily training"

[Ibara]: "don't forget we still have lectures we didn't finish"

Oh shit I forget about it.

While walking with Ibara I start looking forward to my new class.
