Beatrice stared at the gold wordlessly. Well, it wasnt kike anyone was in the house with her that she could say anything to. She didn't know what to think or what to do. She thought of calling Avery but she didn't want to disrupt whatever she had going on.

She knew her daughter wasn't so rich that she could just acquire gold bars through legal means and from the amount of gold in the bag, jt was surely not a legal business.

Beatrice was heartbroken. She wanted to ask herself where she had gone wrong but then she admitted that regarding Avery, she never actually did anything right. She had not been a good mother and only now was she trying to make a difference, to be a better person, a better mother, but the time was already too late. Avery had lost her daughter and her husband and if the cause of those unfortunate situations could be traced, it would be found that she had been the one responsible for it.

She was the only one responsible for what she had done. Nobody could be blamed
