Chapter 118

Avery stood there motionless, she couldn't even will herself to go fetch the note. She was heartbroken, so heartbroken that she couldn't take a step, she wasn't even sure she was aware of anything going on in her body. Her mind was filled with so many thoughts but at the same time her head was clear.

The room was dark, the air was stuffy, the windows were not opened and what she could smell was copper. And all she was seeing was her mother's lifeless body as it sat on the sofa.

Her worst fear had become her reality.

She was alone. She was finally alone.

After everything that she did to ensure that she never ended up alone, there wasn't a remedy for her situation now.

She figured that what could've made her mother so this was guilt. She couldn't live with herself knowing that her daughter was doing some horrid things just so she could keep her life. She knew that her mother was well aware that she hadn't been a good mother but that didn't mean she should take her life.
