Chapter 126

Avery could not will herself to leave her house, ever since her mother's body was taken away, she couldn't clean, move from that spot she found herself. She could do nothing but just sit and stare in the dark room. The sunlight would pour in sometimes but it didn't help how she was feeling.

She didn't cry again, she couldn't. She was so lost and alone, staring into space thinking about the tikes when she could've done something with her life but she didn't. She thought back to Davide, thought about how his back looked when he walked out on her, she thought about the confusion that had been imprinted on his face. She couldn't forget how he had blamed her for what happened to her child.

She felt life was really quite funny. The people she had tried to hang on to eventually left her. She had tried all kinds of techniques by listening to the ones around her. Some people told her to hang on tightly, she took the advice, to a point where she started to feel that she was hanging on a bit too
