Davide was extremely surprised, he knew Mr Lee wouldn't be able to fire him but he hadn't been expecting that Mr Lee would say something like this.

This hatred had sprung up from.his ego being wounded by Davide after he had told his idea to Miss Donalds, it was very annoying to Davide that still, Mr Lee had kept such a thing in his heart like he was a petty bastard.

Meanwhile, Patrick was just a nobody who wanted to be somebody and those aspects of himself, he was busy projecting them on Davide. He was jealous of Davide, the latter was loved and had a very excellent physical feature, meanwhile the former was a bit ordinary.

But Davide knew Patrick's bitterness towards him ran deeper than that, it was something else that Davide could not understand but he was sure enough that it tilted towards envy.

However, he kept asking himself what he could possibly have that would make Patrick envious of him.

Patrick was intelligent, he had no tenets but he was intelligent and wasn't that enough
