The scare

Clay stared at the room that she had briefly found comfort in the past few days and shook her head with the realization that she soon came to.

Everything was fleeting and would all come to an end, even life or better still, especially life.

She sighed softly and made her way out of the room, her legs making it quite hard for her to leave the room on her knees like she had come in.

When she successfully crawled out haphazardly, she looked down at her legs and smiled eerily, they had done so much good for her, it was hard to believe that they were the same legs that she had used to run back and forth from each of her workplaces back to the apartment in between shifts to make sure Jay was fine.

Clay almost could not remember those days, they seemed strangely so long ago,like another lifetime entirely.
