“Well, your fighting buddies yesternight weren’t very subtle with the way they handled the fight.”

“Oh, that,” for a few minutes while they had ridden through the town she had forgotten all about her problems and here he was bringing it up. She almost shrank back in her seat as he held her hand from across the table.

“I’m sorry,” he apologized, sensing that he had done something wrong to her. “Did I say something wrong?”

She pretended to be hurt by what he had said as she folded her arms across her breast which plopped up her cleavages even more.
