Chapter 208

“Are you ready?” the woman said to her daughter breaking her out of the trance she was in.

“I am,” Jennie nodded as she followed the woman out of the house, heading for the stairs which led them to the ground floor.

While they were waiting for a taxi, Jennie felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She did not know what it was but she knew it was not normal.

“What is it?!” her mother said in an alarming tone.

“I don’t know,” she winced.

“Is it your period?” she whispered with Jennie shaking her head.

“I really don’t know mum. Let’s just get to the hospital.”

With that, the old woman ran onto the road, stopping a taxi before ushering her daughter into the vehicle.

“Where to?” asked the concerned driver.

“The Catholic hospital!” the woman yelled out. “And make it quick. It is an emergency.”

The man nodded, swerving out of the corner as he blazed through the street heading for the hospital.

They had chosen a respectable hospital and not the one Jennie worked at.
