Chapter 210

Jennie walked to the park with her mother while she called Richardson but the call kept going to voicemail. She wanted to tell him over the phone but then changed her mind at the last second. It would be better to tell him during their outing.

“Let’s sit here,” her mother suggested as they sat in a bench while she tried to call Richardson.

She listened to it go to voicemail again and this got her angry.

“What happened?” the old woman’s voice filled with concern.

“I can’t get a hold of him and I’m panicking because what if he knows and he does not want the baby and…”

“Hush,” the woman said in a quiet tone, gently patting her daughter on the back. “You are just putting stress on yourself. You need to relax. Don’t overwhelm yourself or it would not end up in a good way.”

Jennie took in deep breaths, ready to follow her mother’s advice as she watched the children at the park play with their parents.
