Jennie could find that her heartbeat was not as intense as before after speaking with her mother. Everything was now calm and she could see the brighter side of things.

She looked at the men before her as she was ready to state her terms.

On the phone, she had told her mother her fears and how the conversation had gone with the two men but her mother had reassured her that they were bluffing about the legal cases.
