But he was wrong to think that his parents would listen to his pathetic excuses.

They took one look at him and his mother went back to sit on her seat, taking out the papers to look through.

“When you’re done with your theatrics, see yourself out,” his father said in a cold low tone, his eyes filled with hatred and disappointment. “I can’t stand looking at you.”

Michael could not understand what he had just heard. Had his father just pushed him away?

Did his father not care about his pleas? What was going on?

“Dad…” he blurted out as the man banged his hand against the table sending a wave around the room.

“Get out!” The man’s voice thundered which got Michael shivering to the ground. He had seen his father furious but this had to be on another level. His father had not been this furious at him before.
