“Sir,” Richardson heard someone shake him as he woke up from his slumber to see Tom standing over him.

“Hey,” he sighed, stretching himself up. He looked around the room to recognize the room to not be his. The beeping reminded him that he was still in his mothers room.

He had fallen asleep by her bedside the night before.

“You slept here all night sir,” Tom noted, opening the windows to let in the sunlight.

“Oh no, close it. Mother does not like…” he began to explain in a defensive way as Tom raised a finger.

“She’s in a coma sir,” the butler noted. “Would you not want her to wake? That is the reason we are trying everything possible with the doctors, to make her wake up.”

“Oh yeah,” he concurred getting to his full height. He paced to the chair, took up his suitcase and started for his room as Tom ran after him.
