It seemed like what the doctor wanted to discuss with him was urgent. He hoped it was good news and not bad news. He had already had a lot of bad news for the month. Some good news was what he was looking for.“Hey, how about you keep playing your game while I meet up with the doctor real quick. I’ll be right back,” Richardson noted to the lady who had her mind focused on the game she was playing.“Alright,” the lady answered absentmindedly, swerving her game device around. “Shall we?” he asked the doctor who nodded again leaving the room as he did the same. They stood at the hallway looking around to see if anyone was eavesdropping on their conversation.“What did you want to discuss?” Richardson asked, the suspense getting a hold of him.“We had new scans done on her this week.”“And?”“Well let us say that the chances of her getting her memories back keeps degrading with her spending time around you.”“What do you mean?” Richardson could feel his heart beating louder than before.
Driving through traffic, he decided that it was time for her to stay with him in the estate. If she was going to lose her memory then she might as well regain better ones where she was rich and not lacking in any way.He wondered what her former life was like. Was she rich or was she poor? Did she have families or was she an orphan? Was she loved or was she hated?Whatever problems she had, he had to create better memories with the lady. That was the only way for him to redeem himself for what he had done to her.***“Hello grandfather,” he greeted after seeing the old man in his study playing chess by himself. That was his favorite game. He wondered why the man had not gone on to be a chess grandmaster but instead stayed at home playing by himself.“Richardson,” the man looked up with a smile on his face. “Where did you go? I looked everywhere for you.”“I was… out,” he sighed, joining Damien at the table.“We didn’t get to finish our conversation before. But we’ll continue later on
“And who are you here to see?” the nurse asked him in the waiting room.“Mary,” he responded. “She’s in room 87.”She nodded, going through her list on the computer before shaking her head.“I’m sorry sir, but there is no Mary in room 87.”“What do you mean there is no Mary in room 87?” he asked bewildered. “I was in there last night with her.”“The only one there is an amnesiac who…”“That is Mary!” he exclaimed, getting a nurse to shush him from a room. “Hush it!” the woman hushed with a whisper. “This is a hospital.”“I’m sorry,” he apologized with a whisper turning to the receptionist. “That is Mary.”“Alright, you can go and see her then.”He nodded, going to the room with clasped hands. He breathed in and out before knocking on the door.“Hey, are you in there?” he smiled when he heard heavy sounds of someone running around in the room. “Are you trying to play hide and seek with me? You definitely know I will find you.”With a swift move he opened the door entering inside to se
While Richardson rode through traffic, a Britney Spears music played from the radio which got Mary singing to it.“Have you listened to this song before?” he asked curiously.“Nope. Maybe,” she sighed. “I just… somehow know the song.”“You are singing the lyrics perfectly. You seem to have it all down in your head.”“Yeah I guess,” she chuckled, commencing her song while looking out of the window. He looked at her turning back to face the road to avoid hitting anything. She was cheerful and happy. She was a kind and gentle soul.He wondered if having amnesia could change peoples personalities as well. Maybe they could, maybe they could not.“So I tried looking for your family today,” he started getting her to stop singing and look at him.“And?” She asked with wide eyes.He shrugged, “I came up blank. No one seems to know you.”“Why is that? Did you go to the place I had the accident?”“I did that. I even hired someone to go through the hard stuff for me but even the deep searches
“Please let me go,” begged Mary, still holding her cheek with the crowd sneering at her. She could feel the tears leaving her eyes while they rolled down her cheeks to gather at her chin.“So you would leave with what you’ve stolen?” the attendant said with hatred in her voice as she slapped the lady again, this time louder than before.Mary fell back, tearing down the clothes which hung on the wardrobes.“Oh shit!” someone gasped as a whole section of exotic clothes broke out of their glass hangers, falling to the ground in numbers.Everyone watched in shock at the mess which laid before them and in the middle of the mess, Mary sobbed with her hands on her cheeks. She stood to her feet to look around, seeing broken glasses around the floor. It had not been her fault but she knew she would be blamed for it anyway. The attendant had slapped her with so much force she had fallen into the clothes. Since her weight was much, she had broken through the glass hangers, tearing everything dow
Mary stood to her feet ready to expose the evil deeds of the workers with great excitement. The first person she pointed to was the main attendant who had smacked her twice across the face.“She hit me twice,” Mary said with anger in her belly before pointing to another and another until every culprit had been rooted out.Richardson turned to the manager who had a hand over her face in anger.“So what are you going to do to them?”She turned to her workers, slapping the main attendant across the cheek which had her doubling to the ground.“You stupid imbecile!” the manager yelled. “Get up to your feet when I am talking to you!”“Yes ma,” the attendant stood to her feet with a jump, her cheek red from the smack.“I did not hire you here to embarrass my customers and have fights with them. Do you know who he is?”“No ma’am.”“What about the lady you were embarrassing, do you know who she is?”“No ma’am.”“And yet, somehow, in your little worm brain, you thought it wise to insult and hum
“How do you like your new clothes?” Richardson asked immediately he exited the store. Mary jumped around in excitement at all the new things she had acquired.“Minus the hits I got, I love this shopping experience,” she said with a huge smile on her face. She looked at Richardson with a different light in her eyes. He had saved her from further embarrassment at the store. It would have been easy to abandon her and leave until the cops arrived to pick her up, but he hadn’t done that, instead he had defended her, slapping the guards who had tried manhandling her. He was more than a friend; he had acted like a god to her, saving her from the clutches of the evil store attendants.“Alright,” he sighed, tapping on the key to open the car. “Let’s pack this into the car and get out of here.”She nodded to what had been said, carrying some of the bags which were littered on the ground into the car with his help. After a few minutes of continuous packing, they finally finished, standing bac
Richardson looked around the room to see her clothes still on the floor by the door. “I guess they didn’t know where to keep the clothes and how to sort them,” he noted, going to the door to get some of the boxes to the wardrobe. “Do you need those?”He had a finger pointed to the hospital clothes she had gotten with her.“Do you want me to get rid of it?” she asked with widened eyes.“I mean,” he pointed to the series of new clothes dropped on a couch by the door. “You do have new clothes to wear and if those are not enough for you, we could always get more.”The way he said it with an air of confidence and authority made her know she was not dealing with a nobody.“I see you are settling in quite well,” someone said at the door as they both turned to see Damien standing there with his arms folded. He must have come back from a meeting for Richardson could see his signature dark blue suit on him.“Grandfather,” he smiled, walking to the old man. “How long did you stand there for?”
“Pack your things and leave,” Richardson said after returning home to see Jennie lounging around by the pool.“Excuse me?” she scoffed when he had said those words.“You heard me. Pack up and get out of my house.”“May I remind you that I am pregnant.”“You forgot to mention that the baby is not mine.” He said those words as she gasped to her feet. He got out his phone playing the video out loud as she watched it in shock.“That video is a fake!”“It looks pretty real to me. Now I have called my bank manager and every single thing I have sent you since this whole thing started has been refunded back to my account and you are back to where you started.”“But that would be that I would be owing the bank. My account would be in minus a hundred thousand dollars.”“Then I suggest you had better start working for your money as you are not my problem anymore.”He nodded to the security guards he had come with as they entered the house with one of them dragging her into the house.“They will
When the women had gone out of the restaurant, Alice listened to the conversation over and over again and was happy that she had gotten what she needed to use against Jennie. She could not believe that she was going to ruin the woman’s life and she was prepared to do it without remorse. If Jennie was going to have Richardson, then she would ruin what they had with this evidence. She had already known where Richardson would be the next day and she was prepared to meet him there. With a triumphant smile, she stood from her seat, no longer hungry as she went home for the day.***The next day, she garbed on her most wonderful attire as she started for the park where she would see Richardson getting his favorite snack. She arrived early to make sure she did not miss him and when she found his car parking there, she rushed to him with her phone to show him the evidence which she so greatly prided herself for.“Hey,” she smiled to him as he got out of the car but his face was swollen like h
She looked out to watch the heir step out of his car and look around in confusion at how the gate was open and how there was no one around the estate. She wanted to warn him but she could tell that her father would also hear her. She had to stop him from getting into the house. She hissed out of her window trying to get his attention but all he did was look around aimlessly trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. When he was done doing that, he ran into the house getting the lady to smack her forehead in anger.“He’s really going to get himsef killed.”Opening her door slowly to make sure she did not alert the man in the house, she started for the stairs as she watched the heir run into the living room. She tiptoed silently to not make any noise in the house and when she reached the bottom of the stairs, a thud was heard with the two men still having conversations. She hid behind the door of the living room to have a peek into the room as she found Richardson hiding behi
“Do you like your new position? I bet it’s really nice to sit on that very comfy seat and give orders from above. The question is, what would happen if someone decided to take away that power from you? Would you let us…”“What do you want?!” yelled the heir tired of the games. He had grown exhausted and he just wanted to see his grandfather. He wondered if everyone in the house was safe. Jennie, Mary, Damien, Tom and his mother. He did not want anything to happen to any of them. He wanted them all to be safe. He refused to believe that anything had happened to Damien. He stood to his feet to face the man once again. He was not going to be afraid of the man but he was going to face him and kick him out of the house. He knew being at the top would make him an automatic target but why would everyone see him as an enemy. He had done nothing wrong. He knew this was the goal of his family members and that was it. There was no one else mad enough to do this. They had hired this low budget h
Richardson arrived at the company with a sour mood as he was tired of the drama which was unfolding at the estate. The drama between Mary and Jennie was getting out of hand. Why would Mary try to be sexual with him? It was not like he liked her that way.“Sir Richardson,” someone greeted him as he looked to see Jace smiling at him with some files in his hand.“Hey, Jace,” the heir said, coming back to earth. “How are you this morning?”“Oh I’m doing alright. I’m here with the files you asked me to compile for you. They do need your approval and they would soon be used later on by the other team so I compiled it as fast as I could.”“That is great,” Richardson got into his office to see a letter on his desk with his name written on it. “Please, drop the files by the cabinet and I’ll give it a quick look.”“Alright sir,” Jace said, dropping the files before exiting the office with the door closing behind him. When the boy was gone. Richardson picked up the letter to read and found it to
Tom grunted as trying to explain his plans to the man before him could expose his entire plans and he did not want that to happen. He also did not want to end this without a climax which would get him a sure victory. As a master of subtlety he was going to try to win Damien over to his side. That was sure to grant him a win and he was prepared for it.“Listen, Damien,” he said again, shocking the man. “What I am trying to tell you is that I can turn this empire into a greater one. All your enemies I can wipe them out with a thought. No one would look down on us ever again. “We can rule and we can make sure that everyone who hears our name trembles in fear.”“Us? Rule? What are you talking about Thomas? Where are you going with this?” Damien asked in shock. “I already have a grandson who will take over for me when I am gone. I will teach him the ropes around everything. “I have watched him grow over the course of a few months he has stayed with me and I have watched him speak kindly
Tom looked out of his window one morning as Richardson entered his car to drive off for work. His face smeared into a grin as he watched the heir drive off.He had been after the heir since he had known after his existence. He could not believe at first that the heir existed and during the heir’s DNA test he had wished the heir was not real but it had come up positive that he was Damien’s grandson. This had infuriated him but he had decided that he would use this to his advantage instead. Before Richardson entered into his life, for years he had been planning steadily to get the company from the Wilson’s. He had made Damien trust him as the man was without an heir and he was the only person he trusted. He had built that trust until it was broken by Richardson stumbling into his life. And now he was back to zero as he could not get anything with the heir being there. There had to be a way to take back the company without Richardson being a thorn in his flesh so he had been trying to
Michael stared at her for sometime before bursting into laughter shocking Alice for she had not seen that reaction coming. She had expected that he would accept her pleas as usual and they would hug, kiss and make up and get back to the apartment to have mind blowing sex. But instead he had laughed in her face which was like a slap to her. Why was he acting so strangely?“What? You thought you would just crawl back to me after insulting me like I was a child a few days ago?” he asked. “Please, get real. I am not a child.”“Baby, let’s not do this here,” she said, being self conscious of how the public was looking at them.“Oh shut up,” he hissed. “Now they are your biggest concern. Do you know how many times I have begged for your love and attention and all I’ve gotten were scraps? Do you know how many times I wanted to be seen by you? “I loved you for a long time, Alice. Sometimes I would get you food to starve, that was how much I loved you. I got cursed by my parents, I got laid
For days she tried contacting different investigators to help her with her case as they kept sending her files which she kept on compiling. She was ready to destroy Jennie with everything she could find and she went through the files to see if there was anything she could use against the woman. She could see some incriminating evidence against the woman and when she tried to save the files into the desktop to read later a hot coffee poured over her desktop ruining her computer and destroying everything.“What is wrong with you?!” Alice yelled to her feet as she turned to the person who had done it to find Lola staring at her. The manager came out of his office to see what had happened and he found Lola carrying around a trolley of coffee going around to deliver to the workers.“I really do apologize. It was a mistake,” Lola apologized after finding out that her manager was staring at her.“You fool! This is all your fault! You just ruined my whole plan!” Alice was furious as everythi
