FORTY EIGHT

As they walked back to their car, Nadia and Harvey strolled along side by side, feeling happy and content. They had just finished a fun-filled day of vintage shopping and ice cream, and the warm sunshine added to their cheerful mood.

Nadia beamed, gazing at her brother. "That was such a great experience. Harvey. We would be doing this often. It's good for the soul."

Harvey smiled back, and shoved her shoulder playfully. "Uhmm, I love spending time with you."

As they approached their car, This was what life was all about, simple moments shared with the people you love. She truly wished they had time to make memories like this with their mother. Who only suffered but didn't enjoy life.

They reached the car, and Harvey unlocked the doors. "Ready to head home, sis?" he asked, opening the door for her.

Nadia nodded, sliding into her seat. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go home and sleep."
