They drove down to Stephenson Cooperation, which was a very large company. The biggest in the city, so many media reporters were already waiting for the arrival of the new CEO. However Harvey didn't find all this necessary, he wasn't the kind of person that likes showing off, and he preferred to remain a low profile.
"Do you call all the reporters here?" Harvey asked Prof Jason.
"Yes I did Master Harvey, today is a very big day, the world should be aware of the arrival of the new heir of the Stephenson cooperation." Prof Jason replied.
"I don't find all these necessary Jason, I don't want all these to be on the Internet," Harvey said.
"What do you mean Master Harvey?" Prof Jason asked in curiosity.
"Don't get me wrong, but I want to remain anonymous, I have my reasons, I can be recognized within the cooperation but prefer to be on a low profile outside," Harvey explained.
"Ok, Master Harvey, whatever you say will be respected. I will send the men to send back the reporters."
Prof Jason brought out his phone and gave an order to his men, they came out of their vans and instructed all the reporters to move aside, although most of them were stubborn. They all want to take pictures of the new richest man in the city.
Harvey stepped down from his car, and his guards surrounded him, so he wouldn't be snapped by the reporters. They then walked inside the mansion, and Prof Jason led him to the board office.
Harvey walked in and all the board members were present waiting for their new boss.
They all rose and greeted their new boss, "Welcome to the team Mr. Harvey Stephenson." They all said with respect.
Harvey recognized most of the people on the board, they were one of the most influential billionaires in the city, and most of them were highly respected even by the state government. And to think they were now his subordinates is massive. What else could he possibly ask for, with this power he could achieve whatever he wants in the world.
"It's an honour to meet you too," Harvey responded and then took a seat at the edge of the long table.
One of the board members, Mr. Johnson, clears his throat and addresses Harvey, "Mr. Stephenson, we're thrilled to have you join us as our new CEO. Your experience and leadership will undoubtedly shape the future of our company. We would be honored if you could share with us your vision and goals for our organization. Perhaps you could outline your strategic priorities and how you envision guiding us toward success in the coming years."
"It's an honor to be here with you all today. As your new CEO, I pledge to do everything within my power to guide this company into a new era of success. Although I am new to this role, I assure you that my enthusiasm for our shared vision is unwavering.
"Together, we will not only maintain our leadership position in this city, but we will also expand our reach beyond these borders. We will become a global powerhouse in our industry, setting new standards of excellence."
The whole board members clapped, Prof Jason smiled, Harvey looked and behaved like his father Clement Stephenson.
The board meeting was almost over when someone badged into the office.
It was his stepbrother Henry and stepmother, Sarah.
"You! How dare you step foot in my father's company!?" Henry stormed, pointing his fingers at Harvey.
"Respect yourself sir Henry, or else we would send the security on you." Prof Jason threatened as he moved to the side of Harvey to protect him.
"Shut up you old man, this company belongs to my son. His father wrote all his will in his name, you can't bring this abandoned son here to claim everything we worked so hard for." Sarah chipped in.
"According to the law, everything now belongs to Master Harvey." Prof Jason said.
"What's going on?"
"Please make sure your family matters don't affect the company, Mr. Stephenson," Johnson said to Harvey.
"Can you all take this home and not interrupt the board?"
Seeing the commotion Prof Jason tried to handle the situation.
"Please madam Sarah, let's not do this here, you're making a scene in front of our business partners." Prof Jason said.
"I don't care! This whole company should be my son's, but no. You betrayed us and gave it to some stranger."
"He looked so local, I'm sure he didn't even finish his university, how dare he try to take what's mine?" Henry attacked Harvey.
Harvey clenched his fist, gone are the days when he would allow anyone to insult him, he wasn't going to tolerate this.
"Watch how you speak to me!" Harvey warned.
"Or else what? What are you going to do?"
"Prof Jason, call the security and throw them out," Harvey instructed.
"Yes, Master Harvey."
"What are you trying to do? You're calling the security for us? I am the wife of the late Clement Stephenson!" Sarah yelled.
"And I am the new heir, my decision will be final."
The security badged in and they took the mother and son away.
"This isn't the end, loser, I'll get back at you, I will come with my lawyer. This company belongs to me, and only me!" Henry barked as he was being dragged out.
"I'm so sorry to convince everyone, this won't happen again." Harvey apologized to the board members.
"It's okay Mr. Stephenson."
"We shall call this a day everyone, I will inform you all when the next meeting will be held," Harvey said.
They all nodded and stood up and shook his hands before leaving the office.
"Sorry about those two Master Harvey, I will handle the matter the soonest," Prof assured.
"Have they been doing this often?" Harvey asked.
"Yes, ever since Clement Stephenson died they had been trying to claim everything. Although his lawyer had declared his will strictly stating your name as the new heir, they still wouldn't believe it, they thought I bribed the lawyer to do so."
"And what about the tape have they listened to it?" Harvey asked.
"No, not yet you are the only one that has listened to his tape. As instructed by Master Clement before he died." Prof Jason said.
"What about my sister?"
"Oh yes, she has been transferred to the city's best hospital and is currently undergoing VIP treatment."
"Alright, that is good."
A young man with glasses hurried towards them, he seemed eager.
"Greetings, Mr. Harvey," he said, extending a hand in greeting. "I am Dant Smith, the company's new business strategist and IT chairman. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard many great things about this company, sir, and I'm excited to contribute to our mutual success."Harvey, who had been silently observing the exchange, stepped forward and offered a firm handshake to Dant. "Nice to meet you, Dant," he said. "I look forward to working with you and seeing what you can bring to the table." His tone sounded like how any CEO would sound like, confidence.Professor Jason, eager to build rapport, added, "Master Harvey, I believe that Dant here is truly exceptional. He's one of the most talented individuals I've had the pleasure of working with, and I'm confident that his skills will be a significant asset to our team.""That's great.""Thank you very much, sir, looking forward to working greatly with you." Dant shook his hands."I'll leave you two here for a while, and Master H
THE CITY'S HOSPITALHarvey drove to the new hospital his sister was admitted to, he wasn't with much security just him and Prof Jason. They parked their car at the entrance of the building and Prof Jason opened the car for his boss to come out.Harvey dipped his hands in his pocket as they walked into the hospital. Seeing how elegant he was looking, all the staff were treating him like a king and asking for his request. He only asked for the receptionist's office and enquired about his sister's room. They were taken there.Nadia was now looking alright more than the way she was looking more better compared to when she was in that cheap hospital."Nadia." He called."Harvey? Is this you?" She was more than shocked seeing his transformation, he was now looking like the government of a state. Even his perfume was top-notch, from his feet to the expensive Rolex watch on his wrist, he was impeccable."Yes, Nadia."Harvey smiled, then went to sit beside her."So tell me, how did everything
Lewis and his friends launched their attack, but Harvey was swift and agile. He dodged their blows with ease, delivering precise and powerful strikes. One by one, they fell, unable to match his skill and speed. Within minutes, the arrogant group was on the ground, groaning in pain.Harvey quickly called the police, making it seem like Prof Jason had reported the incident. When the officers arrived, they found the young men attempting to assault an elderly man after damaging his car. The police wasted no time in arresting them.In no time, the news of Lewis’ arrest reached the Andersons, and it was evident that they were in hot waters. With their wealth and influence, they attempted to intervene and secure their son's release. However, Harvey had already pulled strings within the police department secretly. Despite their best efforts, the authorities stood firm, citing the seriousness of the assault and the solid evidence against the boys.At the police station, Lewis's father, Mr. An
Mr. Michael Anderson's face was a mask of frustration as he paced back and forth in his lavish living room. His son Lewis had been detained for almost a month, and the only thing on his mind was finding out who had the influence to keep him locked up despite his best efforts to pull strings. It was an insult to his personality. Finally, Lewis had been released, but the whole event left a bitter taste in Michael's mouth. He couldn't stop the feeling that someone powerful was working against him, and he was eager to find out who.Michael slammed the phone down after another fruitless call. "This is absurd! How can no one know anything? I have connections in every major department, and yet, no one can tell me who has this much influence!"Eloise Anderson, his wife, looked up from her book, trying to calm him. "Darling, maybe it's time to let it go. Lewis is home now, and that's what matters.""Let it go? How can I let it go when someone out there has more power over the police than I do?
The EncounterMr. Michael Anderson had been searching for Harvey for weeks. Ever since the series of unfortunate events that left his son Lewis humiliated and his company on the brink of bankruptcy, Michael had become increasingly obsessed with finding out who was responsible. He couldn't nod off the feeling that Harvey, whom he had always looked down upon, might have played a role in their downfall. However, he still believed Harvey was nothing more than a poor, pathetic burden.Doing everything he can to prevent his company from falling, Michael decided to visit the Stephenson Corporation. He knew they were one of the major players in the city and thought that someone there might have information or could help him. After a long meeting, which yielded no useful information, Michael was leaving the building, fuming with frustration. As he walked out of the towering glass doors, Michael's sharp eyes caught sight of a familiar face standing by the entrance. Luckily for Harvey, he was si
The Anderson MansionHarvey took a deep breath as he approached the grand entrance of the Anderson mansion. The imposing structure dominated above him, its high pillars and decorated design exuding wealth and power. A place that brought him bitter memories. It still felt fresh in his mind. He knew that stepping inside would be like walking into a lion’s den, but he had no choice. Mr. Michael had demanded his presence, and Harvey intended to keep his word, no matter how distasteful the visit would be.He rang the doorbell, and after a few moments, the heavy wooden door creaked open. Garcia, his ex-wife, stood in the doorway, her eyes narrowing in disdain when she saw him. From the look on her face, it was obvious that she hated him with everything in her.“What are you doing here?” she snapped, not bothering with pleasantries.“Your father asked me to come,” Harvey replied calmly. Not caring to greet her. Garcia stepped aside, allowing him to enter while eyeing and hissing. As Harvey
The humiliation At The Anderson’s MansionMr Micheal looked at Harvey for a long time and hissed before asking him the questions that were on his mind.“Okay. Harvey, tell me why you came late. I told you to come earlier, why do you have to undermine my warning?” Michael demanded, his voice was cold and intimidating.Harvey hesitated, knowing that whatever excuse he gave would be misjudged. Though he totally forgot, he wasn't scared of Anderson. “I was held up by some personal matters. I apologize for the delay. I didn't mean to disrespect you.”Michael’s eyes flashed with anger. “Personal matters? That’s your excuse? Do you even have a life? What matter can be more important than my house? Harvey. Not for one second. But we’ll come back to that later. First, I want to know what you know about the person who locked my son up. Who detained Lewis for over a month?”Harvey felt a chill run down his spine. He had expected this question, but now that it was here, he knew he had to tread ca
Professor Jason nodded, his eyes glinting with approval. “There’s a high-profile event coming up. The Andersons are planning to announce their reclaimed contract publicly. It’s the perfect opportunity to strike.”Harvey’s mind raced with possibilities. “We’ll need to disrupt the event in a way that publicly embarrasses Lewis, especially in front of the key investors and partners. It has to be something they can’t recover from.”As the date of the event approached, tension built on both sides. The Andersons were confident in their approaching success, having managed to reclaim the contract and feeling they were on the brink of discovering who had been behind Lewis’s detention. They had no idea that Harvey was one step ahead, planning their downfall with meticulous precision. On the day of the event, the Andersons arrived in high spirits. The venue was an affluent ballroom, filled with the city’s most influential business figures, investors, and media. The atmosphere was electric with e
With the Stephenson Company fully back on top and leading in the business world, Harvey felt it was finally time to take a break from the city. The months of hard work, the intense focus on rebuilding the company, and the stress of dealing with betrayals had left him exhausted. He knew he needed to step away, to clear his mind and have fun. He also wanted to reward his sister Nadia for all her support and encouragement throughout the difficult times. A vacation seemed like the perfect idea.Harvey and Nadia decided on the Maldives, it was a tropical paradise known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and luxurious resorts. It was the perfect place to loosen up and enjoy a well-deserved break. The decision made, they dove into preparations with excitement.Nadia took charge of the logistics, making sure everything was perfect for their trip. “We’re going to do this right, Harvey,” she said, grinning as she browsed through different resorts online. “No expense spared. We’ve e
For the first time in a long while, Harvey decided to take a day off. He needed it after all the stress he had been under. The Stephenson Company was running smoothly, the employees were now doing their jobs very well, all the recent crisis had been successfully managed. Harvey felt he deserved a break, a chance to relax and recharge. He spent the morning at home, catching up on some reading and enjoying a leisurely breakfast. It felt good to slow down and take a moment to breathe.Around noon, his sister Nadia came back home from a date, carrying a bag filled with lunch from their favorite deli. She was always a breath of fresh air, full of energy and good humor.“Look at you, Mr. CEO, taking a day off,” Nadia teased as she entered the kitchen. “I never thought I’d see this day.”Harvey laughed. “Even CEOs need a break sometimes,” he replied, taking the bag from her and setting it on the counter. “Besides, I thought it would be nice to spend some time with my big sister.”Nadia grinn
Finally, the day came for the unveiling of the monument. Harvey and Nadia decided to keep the ceremony small and intimate, inviting only close friends, associates, and a few trusted colleagues from the Stephenson Company. They wanted this to be a personal moment, a chance to meditate and remember their parents in a meaningful way. As the sun shone over the park, everything looked magical, Harvey stepped forward to give his speech. He looked around at the faces of those he cared about, feeling a deep sense of gratitude for their presence and support. “Thank you all for being here today,” Harvey began, his voice filled with emotion. “This monument is more than just a tribute to our parents. It’s a reminder of the values they instilled in us. the importance of kindness, integrity, and hard work. They taught us to always strive for the best, to be fair and just, and to never forget where we came from.” He paused, taking a deep breath. “I know they’re not here with us today, at least n
Harvey felt a sense of calm he hadn’t experienced in years. The Stephenson Company was growing again, stronger than ever after the madness they had faced. Investors kept pouring in, new projects were being launched, and there was a new sense of willingness to work and energy among his employees. After months of indecision and hard work, Harvey could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He had protected his company and guided it back to the top. Now, he felt it was time to turn his attention to something deeply personal. By honoring his parents, who had been his guiding light throughout his journey. That evening, after another successful day at the office, Harvey returned home. The house was warm and welcoming and was filled with the comforting aroma of dinner cooking. Nadia, was in the kitchen preparing their meal, humming softly to herself.Harvey watched her for a moment, feeling a deep sense of gratitude for her presence in his life. She had been his rock, supporting him through every
After dealing with the betrayals that had nearly torn the Stephenson Company apart, Harvey knew that he also had a few other jobs to do. He understood that to truly protect the company and move forward, he needed to focus on two main areas: maintaining data security and rebuilding trust and morale among his employees. The recent events had left the staff feeling shaken and vulnerable, and Harvey figured out that he had to revive their confidence in the company and in each other. The first step Harvey took was to organize a series of internal seminars on data security and confidentiality. He wanted every employee to understand the importance of protecting company information and to learn how to recognize any likely hazards. Harvey brought in top cybersecurity experts to lead these sessions of training, making sure that the training was both thorough and engaging. The first seminar was held in the company’s main conference room, which was filled with employees who were eager to learn an
Harvey understood that now was not the time to rest on his laurels. After successfully dealing with the threats that had nearly destroyed his company, he felt the need to shore up every weakness and vulnerability within the Stephenson Company. The recent and past betrayals had left him very cautious, and he was so eager to protect his business from any future sabotage. There could be no room for error; he would leave nothing to chance.Sitting in his office, Harvey made a list of what he would be looking into. First on the list was conducting a thorough assessment of all employees. He knew that trust was a fragile thing, easily broken and difficult to repair. While he believed most of his employees were loyal, he couldn't afford to take any risks again. Every employee would be investigated, starting with the newest hires, Lily and Peter.Harvey called his secretary, Carla, into his office. She was a sharp, efficient woman who had been with the company for years and was one of the few
Mr. Michael Anderson sat on a battered old chair in the corner of his uncompleted building, staring blankly at the crumbling walls around him. The place felt more like a ruin than a home, it reminded him how far his life had fallen apart. The roof was unfinished, with sections covered only by tarps that flapped in the wind. The concrete floors were cold, and the walls were bare, just exposed brick and mortar. Outside, the sun was shining, but inside, it felt as if the darkness had already settled in.His wife sat sadly across from him on an old mattress, her face was swollen and tired. They hadn’t spoken much in days; there wasn’t much to say anymore. Every conversation seemed to lead back to the same painful topics. their son Lewis’s arrest and imprisonment, their financial situation, and the unbearable weight of guilt and regret that hung over them were overwhelming.Gracia was still in the psychiatric hospital. Her condition had worsened over the past few months. Michael knew they
Meanwhile, Harvey was sitting in his office, calm and composed. He knew the police would come knocking soon. He had expected it. After all, Hugo would try to drag him down with him, just like a drowning man grabs onto anything to stay afloat. But Harvey was also prepared. He had erased every bit of evidence, every communication that could link him to the illegal deal. He had covered his tracks meticulously. When the police arrived at Harvey’s office later that day, he was ready. They asked him to come down to the station for questioning, and he agreed without hesitation. He knew that the best defense was to appear cooperative, and innocent. At the station, they led Harvey into a different interrogation room. The detectives from earlier sat across from him, their expressions were serious but slightly stumped.“Mr. Harvey, thank you for coming in,” the first detective said. “We just have a few questions about your involvement with Hugo Bennett and Lewis Anderson.”“Of course,” Harvey re
Hugo had thought he was in the clear. He had played his part perfectly, setting up Lewis for the illegal ammunition deal, and may have gone free. Everything had gone according to Harvey’s plan, or so he thought. The police had arrested Lewis, and Hugo believed he would walk away with his freedom intact. But Hugo underestimated Harvey. He had no idea that Harvey had set him up from the very beginning. It all came crashing down when the police showed up at Hugo’s door early one morning. He was still in bed, with his eyes barely open, when he heard the loud, insistent knock, he was Startled, so he jumped up and threw on a robe, hurrying to the door with a squeezed brow wondering who it might be. As soon as he opened it, he found himself face-to-face with several stern-looking police officers.“Hugo Bennett?” one of them asked, in a firm and cold voice.“Yes, that’s me,” Hugo replied, as his heart began to pound. “What’s going on?”“You’re under arrest for conspiracy to commit illegal act
