THIRTY FIVE

Gracia stepped out of her front door, she felt the friendly sunshine on her face and the gentle breeze blow through her hair. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back, letting the sun's rays soak into her skin. She took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet scent of their beautiful garden.

It lifted her spirit and gave her mind peace. Gracia sighed and mumbled, “It’s going to be a good day.”

She opened her eyes and smiled at the sight of her mom standing in the doorway, watching her with a warm smile. She waved goodbye, and Gracia could see the pride and support in her eyes. Her mother was always proud and happy for her. And she was grateful for having her in her life.

Then, she blew her mother a kiss and began to walk towards her car. Walking with pride and elegance. When she got closer, she reached into her bag and pulled out her keys, jingling them in her hand as she walked. It was a new Prado Jeep her father had bought for her on her birthday.
