Chapter 146

Rose was left staring at the door without moving for about a full minute before she snapped out of it, picked up her purse and walked out of the house.

She did not want to react to her husband’s last statement or confront him. She put on loud music and drove straight to the prison facility where Chelsea was supposed to be serving time.

She wanted to physically confirm that Chelsea was out before she made a decision or reacted to Rex’s threat.

She arrived outside the prison and made some calls to people she knew, requesting a private visitation to one of the prison mates.

She was asked to wait outside as they made the calls.

She waited in the car without minding how long it was going to take. She needed the time alone. Away from her husband, father, and everything that was happening in her life.
