The clamor of the restaurant was drowned out by Vera's racing thoughts as she studied the woman before her. The blonde-haired stranger sat with a smile on her face, insistently gesturing towards the ringing phone in her hand. It was clear she wanted Vera to take a look.

“Just give it a go. I assure you that I bring no harm," She smiled and the frown on Vera's face lessened.

She glanced sideways and noticed Ezra walking towards their direction with a tray in hand. On seeing this, she sighed lightly, then glanced at the blonde woman who claimed her name was Rose.

“I will take it," Vera finally replied as she took the phone from the table and answered the call.

“Hello?" She called out and at the same time fixed her eyes on the woman as she watched her closely.

Who knows what she plans to do to her when she lets her guards down?
