“Who are you?” Jane asked. Ezra stared at her indifferently then turned towards Evan.

“What are you doing here?” Evan frowned and Ezra smiled.

“Miss Vera asked me to join you,” She said and lowered her head.

“Who's she?” Mrs. Bertha asked coldly. “It looks like I wasn't wrong about what I said earlier,”

Evan stared at her indifferently and checked the time on his wristwatch. It was already a few minutes past 7 pm.

“Since there's nothing more to say, you'll have to excuse me,” He said and turned to leave but a strong hand held his right hand and pulled him back.

Evan's brows knitted slightly and he slowly stared at who the hand belonged to. “Where do you think you are going? My mother isn't done talking!”

“Do you value your hands?” Evan asked coldly and Jane frowned.

“I do not repeat myself,” He added coldly and her eyes widened in anger.

“How dare you!”

“Enough, Jane!” Christel yelled angrily at her and marched in her direction.
