Old man's last gift

A thousand miles away from Santo city. A gigantic building surrounded by huge trees and a bed of grass stood majestically under the blazing sun.

It's aura ancient and desolate, as though no one had lived there for long. One could see pieces of vases on the floor, their value unknown. And occasionally, once in a while, an insect will rest on one of the rotten woods on the floor to eat but get eaten by a predator.

Sounds of footsteps approaching in the distance caused all the living beings to crawl to their hideous.

“I think this is the place,” A female muttered and her companion stood beside her with an exaggerated expression on his face.

“This place? How can this be the place mentioned on the map,” The blonde-haired boy muttered. He was a tall young man with an athletic build. He was dressed weirdly and had a big sword behind his back and occasionally a snake would crawl out from his bag and hiss at him.

“Sorry Pepo,” He laughed awkwardly and the snake returned to his bag.
