The car came into an abrupt halt and silence fell inside the car.

“What was that?” Vera asked with a tight frown on her face.

“I don't know, please give me a few minutes to check it out,” William hurriedly replied, then stepped out of the car.

Vera walked out after him and so did Evan. They both made their way to the front of the car and frowned when they saw William squatted in front of… Someone.

“Goodness, get her inside the car quick!” Vera exclaimed and rushed over.

“Be careful, please. Her legs are fractured,” William hurriedly said and then gently carried the young lady towards the car.

Her long golden hair covered her bloody face and it was impossible to see who she was.

Thank goodness there weren't too many people around, else it would have been a lot of headache trying to get out of the scene.

“Take us to the nearest hospital,” Evan calmly ordered.

“Yes sir,” William shakingly replied, then turned on the engine and stepped on the accelerator.
