“I am sorry,” Ezra whispered shakingly as she slowly pointed the gun at Evan's way and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

A loud resonating gun sound echoed in the vast land killing all silence away. After a while, the sound slowly disappeared and silence returned to the land.

“Ug!” A heavy thud sounded in front of Ezra as she watched the man bleed profusely.

He coughed heavily and crashed to the floor. As much as he doesn't want to believe it, but looks at the blood sipping away from the hole in his head.

Reality dawned on him as he realized that he had been shut. But it was too late to say anything as his mouth was too heavy for him to move anyway.

All that was left in his eyes was regrets, pains, and… confusion.

“Are you okay?” Evan's calm voice broke the silence and Ezra turned towards him fearfully.

She gazed at Evan, then back at the man that was once behind him threatening to stab him. She held the gun in her hand and subconsciously clenched it tightly.
