021 The road ahead remains difficult

Sniffing, Sniffing, "So you're the legendary Qianlong Lee, the most useless public network writer in Seven Worlds who hasn't signed for three years!"

Qianlong Lee didn't expect that good news travels fast. The name of his own dud was already well known.

The old man in white drawled out a gray dodo robe and two books, and handed Qianlong Lee a jade plaque with red flames on either side and the symbol of the black mountain in the center.

Then the old man in white said, "take the book and read it yourself. Food, shelter, the book is clear. And the jade card must not be lost. It is a proof of identity and a record of your workload. And you must leave me alone in the future, except when you are on a mission."

The old man in white thought for a moment, then continued, "the main job on this side of the mine is to dig, there is a fixed monthly quota, and any amount of Hyunite that exceeds the quota can be exchanged for Zommen points, but digging for ore must be fixed to strength, and waste like you can't do that. You will eventually be evicted!" With that, Shay yawned, waved his hand and went back to sleeping on his stomach.

"Don't bother, it's my business whether I get kicked out or not!" Qianlong Lee said sullenly.

And the old man in white was still fast asleep, wondering if he had heard. I didn't expect the old man in white to look down on me so much, but Qianlong Lee was determined to change himself and never accept his fate again.

Qianlong Lee knew that the old man in white would run out of time, and had fallen into the smaller of the five.

The Five Fades of Heaven and Man is an inevitable disaster for web writers who have not become godlike. There is a good saying on the mainland, not god finally like ants, heaven and earth once five decline, can only watch their own slow aging, strength day by day regress and die.

Public stewardship on this side of the mine would not have been worthy of a white-clad, shelf-grade web writer. But the old man in white has fallen into a state of decline, and his strength is now less than 10%.

It was a privilege to have him in charge of the mine, and it was pathetic to say the least, but his mouth was so venomous.

On this side of the mine, Qianlong Lee searched for the address of the Public-Class Network Author. As of today, I'm working in the mine myself, and while my identity is changing, Qianlong Lee's dream of becoming a great web writer will never change.

At the foot of the mine were dense cabins, arranged in a disheveled pattern. It was the home of hundreds of Qixi Wen's mining disciples, and not far away there was a grove of trees with a nice view.

Qianlong Lee took a few sips of spring water in the morning, then washed herself and changed into her gray dodo robe. Pick up the two books Xie gave me yesterday in middle age, one called "The Manual of Mine Labor" and the other a "Guide to Alchemy Materials."

No matter how much work was done in the mines, there was food to eat, but Qianlong Lee was still too weak to accomplish much today.

On his first day at the mine, Qianlong Lee had gotten up early and was picking up steps along the rough trail, clad in gray cloth.

Qianlong Lee was still only sixteen years old, with a hint of puberty left in his white face. It was early morning, the coldest time in the mountains, and the fog of the dense forest, coupled with the lingering chill of the night, felt a little cold.

The mountain road meandered and Qianlong Lee turned a corner. Ahead was the great hall where Xie Lao lived, and the great hall was a sure way up the mountain.

Qianlong Lee passed the hall and paused briefly. Grabbing his Identity Jade from the shelf by the door, he slung it around his waist and continued up the hill.

This identity jade card can record the workload, and many people want to lie about the amount of mining. To prevent this from happening, once the Hyundai Iron Mine is excavated, it will be sensed by Identity Jade. It would then be recorded, and if found to have lied about the number, there would be severe penalties.

Qianlong Lee looked up at the sky, buried his head, and walked quickly to the mine.

By this time, most of the people were still up, except for Qianlong Lee, who was silent with his own footsteps in his ears between walks. .....

And the steward here was the old man in white that day, the old man known as Xie Lao. Xie's role, in addition to overseeing the mining public, was to collect the daily collection of mystified iron ore from the Public-Class Network Authors and examine the attendance and workload of each Public-Class Network Author.

A fork in the mountain road came into view. Both ends lead to different places. Qianlong Lee didn't stop, but continued climbing, up the winding mountain path, alone.

Xie seemed to sense something then and stepped from the room. A glance at where the jade plaque had been placed showed that Qianlong Lee's had been removed. Xie's eyes narrowed, a hint of precision in them.

Xie paused for a moment in front of the main hall as if he had heard something again. Xie turned around and saw a tall figure trotting up. Also dressed in gray, only faster and with a heavier gait than Qianlong Lee.

As the tall figure approached, it became clear that it was a tall young man.

His large frame and broad shoulders made him look imposing, but it wasn't hard to tell he was only seventeen or eighteen at most.

Looking through the early morning haze, Xie stirred in his mind and saw Tiedan Chu in the distance, Xie's eyes seemed to soften a little and he said slowly, "Tiedan Chu, you too, Qianlong Lee is waiting for you on the mountain!"

"What, what's on your back?" Xie asked, noticing Tiedan Chu still carrying a large package behind him.

The tall young man was Tiedan Chu, who said, "Xie Lao, Qianlong Lee didn't have breakfast when he first came up the hill, so I was worried he was hungry, so I brought some food!"

At the sound of Qianlong Lee's name, Xie's eyes flashed, unable to tell if it was pity or disdain.

Finally the grateful gaze fell on Tiedan Chu and he said quietly, "Just mind your own business, you're too late to be careful for today's mission!"

Then Tiedan Chu's face showed his honest expression, and he shook his head stubbornly, "Xie, it's almost the end of the month, I'm almost done for the month, I just brought some dry food for Qianlong Lee to eat, as far as Hyundai iron ore should be dug!"

"You ah......!" Xie looked at the slightly innocent Tiedan Chu with a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

The tenderness in Xie's eyes flashed and he turned to Tiedan Chu's jade tablet and placed it in his hand. Don't forget to remind him, "Tiedan Chu, you may bring him dry food, but you are not allowed to help him fill it with work, which is the rule of the Seven Heavens!" This rule two words, xie lao deliberately aggravated the tone!

"Xie, I know. I'll give him dry food on my back, as long as Qianlong Lee doesn't get hungry! Fellow public network writers are always supposed to help each other." Tiedan Chu said with a goofy smile.

Xie was silent now, watching Tiedan Chu as he walked up the mountain path. Xie sighed silently and returned to the main hall.

By now, Qianlong Lee, who had started up the hill, was halfway up the hill. Qianlong Lee was about to move on when he suddenly felt faint and covered in cold sweat.
