2022-09-05 02:54:21He groaned and flipped his table off as soon as he discovered his prey had escaped, quickly, he tug his gun in his pant and dashed outside with a groan but then he heard an announcement coming from downstairs.
"Hello survivors, the ground floor is safer and I need everyone gathered because we need to help each other and stick together, everyone please step out".
A smirk escape his lips as he speculates that his prey would have gone downstairs, he raced towards the lift and pressed the button but encounter a monster who punched him on the face and brought out its fang to bite but he shot him viciously with a glare while panting heavily. Steve touched his nose that was bleeding and wipe it in anger while smashing this monster's head with his legs.
"Die!" He roared and got into the lift but it wasn't working, he stepped out and intended to take the stairs and he suddenly bumped into the lady he found on his balcony. She was wearing a nose mask and had polythene bags in her hand which feel off. Steve walked pass her and she glanced at him, he was stained with blood and angrily heading downstairs. She sighed and paced to her room, there an old patient was seated, he attempted to smoke but on sighting her, he threw the cigarette away. He stood up to leave but she stopped him.
"It's dangerous outside, you can't go home now" she beckoned bringing out a drug for him to swallow and he grimaced.
"I'm an old man you don't need to worry too much as my therapist" he mused and stretched his hand while she cleaned up the mess he created in the room.
"Did you hear the announcement passed across?" He pressed on blinking his eyes at her and she nodded.
"How save do you think the ground floor would be?"
"Do you just want me to sit back and die here, learn to trust?" He mused standing up to searching for weapon that could help him.
"You need to watch your health mister!" She scolded and he smirked at her as he looked disappointed for not getting what he needed.
"Seriously Arora? You've got not even a knife? Wow, you're unbelievable" he mocked heading towards the door but she stopped him.
"There are some items my patients left behind" she suddenly said and he scoffed at her while halting for her to bring them out. It was an arrow and two bows which were compound and cross bows.
"Helpful" he snapped handing her the cross bow as he beckoned on her to carry her important items especially her inhaler while the stride out of the room.
"But you've got to listen to me and my directions okay?" She petitioned with a frown and mumbled to himself.
AT THE 12 FLOOR.
The kids watched with curious eyes as the old man slide the door of the bathroom open, he turned to them and shook his head. They heaved slowly and continued with what they were doing. Ethan dragged his legs out as his head was downcast.
"Hey boy! Stop screaming unnecessary, you scared the life of those kids!" He scolded and Ethan apologized as the old man fussed while wheeling back to where he was earlier. He glanced at the kids who had cuddled themselves, walking slowly to them, he beckoned on them to sleep while he checks the situation downstairs if it was truly safe, once he was sure he had put them to sleep, he paced to Edward. The old man grimaced at the lad and scoffed in a mockery manner because he doubt if Ethan would come back alive, hence he wasn't willing to let him out.
"Please, here isn't safer either, I would come back" he stated with a courage that he can muster up to challenge the old man. It took a while for him to let this boy out but he gave him a spear which had taser in it.
"Stay safe!" He snapped annoyed at how this boy wants to risk his life outside. Ethan swallowed hard and held the spear firmly while marching outside. He had an earpiece on and kept his eyes straight on the targets, he haven't even gotten a distance away from Edward's cabin when a giant monster approached him. He glanced at him stucked to where he stood and once the monster got an inch to him almost crushing him with its leg, Ethan pierced it's abdomen with the spear which made the monster groan. Quickly Ethan pulled the spear and ran toward the lift which might lead to the ground floor but the buttons wasn't working and the stomping feet of the monster was racing at him. He inhaled and stiffen himself waiting for the monster but mistakenly his hand pressed the 8th floor and the elevator's door jambed immediately. A sigh escape his lips, once he got to the 8th floor, he stride out and found blood everywhere which made him startled a bit but he had no choice to let go of fear. He raised towards the stairs leading down down when he suddenly stumbled on the stair and banged his head on the wall. Ethan panted heavily as his eyes were becoming dim but he got sight of a monster, he figured out it was still the same monster that chased after him breaking through the walls just to get a human. It grabbed Ethan's neck almost wrecking it but he swiftly grab his spear and thrusted again while struggling from the monster. Meanwhile Eric and blevine were in a room as they grab anything that could protect them while they paced outside from the room which was on the 8th floor. They had gotten aware of the terror that was taking place in the country and needed to stay guard. Blevine could hear a groan and intended to check out if someone needed help but Eric stopped her that it was dangerous.
"But God didn't forbid one from helping each other in pain right?" She snapped walking pass him to take a look. Her eyes squivered as she could see a monster smashing someone recklessly to the ground. She was surprised Eric threw a can at the monster just to divert its attention to him. It worked as the monster chased after Eric who was holding a sword while blevine walked slowly to check if this human was still alive. He was leaning on the wall with blood everywhere, she doubt if he was alive.
"Hello, can you hear me?" She asked attempting to touch this boy but suddenly pointed the baton she had on her hand to him while stepping back. Her breath almost seized as she saw this boy's eyes had darken which could only be, he might turn out to be a monster too.
