Eddie is sitting in his room, hands in his hair. Now that everyone had gone out for food, and Alicia had gone out to Sacremento to get his grandmother and cousin settled in, he was very tired.
Eddie felt drained, and his life got even more complicated now that he and Alicia were "married." He was curious about what had happened before her life, and he was going to ask her as soon as she got back.
Then his thoughts went to Lucas and how he was now a part of Joseph's pack. This was the worst outcome that could have happened, and Eddie really needed a drink or a smoke.
Getting up, he decided to head over to the local bar, where it was just on the other side of town, away from Joseph's claim. He didn't have the energy to stop fighting if problems arose; if joseph managed to find him, and decided to toy with him again, he wasn't going to stop until Joseph was dead.
He placed on his shoes, walking outside as a summer breeze hit him. Eddie looked up at the sky, where the moon was only a quarter full. He let his mind wander, remembering how his life had turned upside down so fast.
Eddie even missed working at the meat market; how what he once had and took for granted gone in an instant. He began to walk, when a flash of light caught his attention, and Alicia appeared, her hair in long braids, and wearing a plain gray gown that looked like one would wear for sleep.
"Where are you going?" she asked, curious.
"Going to the bar to get a drink. You wanna come?" he asked.
"You're not going to like what I have to say." she said, giving a half smile.
"Yeah?"
"Alphas can't get drunk. They need to be alert almost all the time. The rest of the pack can, but as for the leaders, nope."
Well damn. There went his plan.
"What if I drink in large amounts?"
"Isan asked that too. He drank over thirty bottles of different alcohol. Nothing. Not even a slight buzz you get if you were to drink beer." she replied, and again, Eddie sighed.
That wasn't fair.
"That...just sounds fucking awful." he sighed, turning right around, and going back into the house. Alicia followed, making no sounds as she walked.
"If you are stress, Eddie, I can give you a massage. It helps relaxes your body, and will help you sleep better." she said, and Eddie hesitated, before laying on his stomach on the bed, his shirt off.
With his good hearing, he could hear Alicia catch her breath, and Eddie remembered the scars from fights fought so long ago, and the branding that had been removed from his side.
"Sorry." he said, shame in his words.
"No, it's okay." she assured him, starting on his shoulders. Her hands moved and massaged into the knotted up muscles, and Eddie felt his body relax. Alicia moved her hands lower, in between where the shoulder blades connected, the muscles stretching and then relaxing.
And then Eddie felt something cold being into his back. He flinched, but when Alicia rubbed it in, it felt like it was heating up, and then going cold.
Holy crap, it felt so good.
Eddie closed his eyes, feeling his muscles tense up and then relax as Alicia's hands went over and over each knot, using her thumb and then her knuckles. When the knot loosened, he could feel his muscles heat up, as the blood circulation flowed freely.
Eddie must have dozed off, because when he opened his eyes, there stood Alicia close to his face. Her eyes were soft and calm, and for a moment, Eddie felt his pulse jump a little.
She leaned into him, kissing his lips, and Eddie cupped her face gently, Eddie breathing the sweet scent of her perfume.
Maybe this one time he could play pretend, not noticing how Alicia's eyes briefly opened one eye and peeked out the window.
Wynn stared at the "happy" couple with cold, calculating stare, her weapon in hand.
When they kissed, she rolled her eyes, turning around, and going through the wall, a portal engulfing her back into her world.
The King was going to be displeased. He was one not to share, ruling his kingdom with a fierce fist. And since Enola had proven herseld worthy by establishing a truce for war with the Alpha of the Wolves.
But Isan, and now it was the time of Eddie.
As Wynn stepped through the portal, she walked up the steps of the Thorned Castle. The King was busy, she knew, but at the sight of Wynn, he gestured for his court to be cleared.
Wynn kneeled before her King, listening as he got up from his throne, his steps measured, and secure.
"What have you for me?" he asked, voice sounding so deep, and wispy, Wynn felt the usual chills in her spine.
"They seemed to just enter a proposal." Wynn said, and the King tilted her head up, his black eyes staring into hers.
It was always eerie whenever he decided to give into eye contact; like he was searching for the answers he wanted in the souls of the people he was asking.
He looked displeased at the answer of what he got, and he let her go, almost making her lose her balance.
"Keep an eye on her. I don't care how long it takes. One slip up, and I want her dragged here."
As Wynn got up, nodding, she felt the slap connect to her cheek. She flinched back, feeling her cheek burn, but didn't move to touch it.
His Majesty said nothing, but she knew it would get worse if she failed him again. As she was starting to walk away, he snapped his fingers, and pointed to his bedroom.
She dropped her weapons, and walked ahead of him, him closing the door behind her.
And she prayed he wouldn't slow down time so the four hours would pass faster than usual.
Eddie didn't know how far Alicia wanted to go. On one hand, she was touching his bare chest, and scars everywhere, hungrily kissing his lips. On the other hand, she didn't move to lay down on the bed or anything. In fact, she was leaning into him so much, he was pretty sure she wanted him on the bed. Eddie laid on his back, and she clamored on top of him, gripping his shoulders tightly. Suddenly, her shirt came off, a lacy purple bra staring back at Eddie. "Eddie." she breathed, before leaning down, and grabbing his face, and kissing his lips with full force, his hands on her ass as he tried to slide her- "What the fuck?!" a voice cried out, freezing both of them in place. They both turn to see Tric standing shocked in front of the doorway, wearing her hair up in a bun, eyes wide. She wears her pajamas, and is looking from Alicia to Eddie, in astonishment. A hand grabs Tric by her shoulder, pulling her away from the door, and Eddie can hear Addie whi
The only reason why Eddie woke up was because he felt someone looking at him. He thought it was Alicia until he felt a slap against his face. Surprised, his eyes flew open, and there was Lucas, a strange look of fury and desperation on his face. "Wake up, motherfucker." he said though gritted teeth. "What-Lucas, what the hell are you doing here?" Eddie said, sitting up as Alicia woke up too, her expression confused, then guarded. "Who are you? How'd you get in here?" Alicia asked, and Lucas wasted no time to pressing a blade against her throat. Alicia cried out, a crazed look in Lucas's eyes. "Don't say nothing, skank, and you won't get hurt." he threatened, Alicia's eyes going dark as she looked at him. Eddie held on to her elbow, shaking his head, then turning his head to Lucas. "What do you want now? Did your alpha send you here?" he asked, and Lucas scoffed, sounding a bit unhinged. "That asshole doesn't give a shit about me. I
Turn it off, he had begged, begged because the thick substance was reaching his shins, and he could hear and feel more pouring down into the hole the construction workers had dug up. They were taunting him and insulting him, and though he knew he had messed up the heist, he didn’t want to die. Especially of suffocation, and especially like this. Suddenly, he heard someone being hit in the head with something, with a force so great, a crunching noise emitted in the air. Gun shots rang out, and then a body flew into the hole with Eddie, no longer moving and then soon covered in cement. Eddie screamed, trying to clamor back up the walls but it was slick with wet cement, and he felt like he was going to have a panic attack when- The end stick of a sledgehammer was placed in the hole, and Eddie scrambled to grab it, yanking himself up out of there. Terry stood there, an angry look in his eyes, but there was something there that wasn’t before, a strange yellow hue in his usual
The car wheezed, and bumbled, as Eddie drove to the store. It was late, almost midnight but he knew a place where it stayed opened twenty-four hours. Sure enough, the little store Pinkys still had it’s open sign on. Eddie parked the car, and ran in, going past the various bottles of alcohol, his eyes landing on a bundle of cilantro. He snatched it right up, heading back to the cashier, a smile on his face. He felt eyes on him suddenly, and he turned around, seeing a man in a long trench coat, and a hat that covered half of his facial features. Eddie glared at him, waiting for the guy to take a hint and to buzz off. The guy straightened up, walking out the door, the bell announcing him leaving. Eddie nodded, handing the cahier his cilantro, and throwing in a water bottle. The cashier rang it up, and he paid in a hundred, walking out without his change. Getting back into the car, he threw the materials into the passenger side, whistling a bit. The car wheeze
To say that he wanted to call in for his shift at Benito’s Carne y Dulces was an understatement, but deep down, Eddie really wanted some normalcy. Speaking of which, was the sun always this bright? Eddie found himself squinting as he walked into the small store, the bell tinkling. The smell of raw meat hit his nose, and his mouth watered a bit, the butcher in the back cutting what looked like a lamb’s leg. Eddie greeted him, hoping his seven-hour shift would be over in no time. He still had to show up to help Lucas with his own fighting, and he would be there just a little before nine. At the same time, Eddie hoped that the kid would dip out of it, because to be honest, he wanted to sleep the week away. As he was organizing the drinks, and taking inventory, the door opened, and absentmindedly, Eddie said “Welcome, just let me know when you’re ready!’ He heard the customer, a woman, reply lamely, and Eddie went back to checking off the number of bottles of vodka he had
When Eddie woke up, he was nude. He was passed out in a random part of grass, a cornfield to his left. He heard mooing, and saw a field of cows, watching him disinterested. He rubbed the front part of his head and winced. Where exactly was he? He panicked when he saw blood covered all over his torso, wiping it off from his mouth. As he lifted up his hand, he froze when he saw someone stuck to it. It looked vaguely like Lucas’s shirt that he had on last night, but that would mean… In a flurry of panic, Eddi jumped up, looking all around. His body was tensed as he listened, but besides the animal life around him, and his own heart beating, he couldn’t hear anyone else. But he wasn’t going to give up that easy; Eddie ran, ignoring the fact that he was basically nude, his breathing even as he continued to run, and making sure he checked every tree, he could find nothing. Eddie could feel the tears wanting to run down his face. He was a fucking idiot for not listening to
Terry flashed Eddie a smile, and as he bounded down the steps, he didn't look like he wanted to say anything towards him though. But too bad for him, Eddie was already out of the car and running behind him. Alicia shouted for Eddie to stop, but he ignored her cries, tackling down Terry to the ground. They wrestled but Terry had the upperhand, as he did have more experience in combat than Eddie ever would. Eddie found himself pinned on his back, Terry's forearm pressed against Eddie's neck. "What the hell do you want, Eddie?" Terry asked, eyes glaring down at him. "I want to know what the hell you're doing here." he choked out, his vision getting a bit spotty as he began to lose air. Terry leaned back away from Eddie, and he sucked in a quick breath. "I had some business to attend to with the alpha." was all that he offered to say, getting up from the ground, and then helping Eddie out. Eddie took his hand wordlessly, standing up next to him. Terry di
Eddie is silent as he stares down at the current dying alpha. He glances at Alicia, who motions for him to start talking. "I don't agree." Eddie replied, and he saw Alicia stiffen next to him. The sickly man stares at Eddie blankly, before roaring in laughter, a laugh so loud, and forceful, it shakes his frame. "You are the perfect choice for the pack." he replied, after he was done for laughing. At that, Eddie took a step forward, a scowl on his face. "You didn't even speak to me about it. You just went ahead and did it! I have a life, you know." Eddie responded, hands balled into fists. "Bah! A life of poverty." the old man said, sitting up, a frown on his face. Eddie darted forward then, grabbing the oldster by the front of his shirt, shaking him a bit. "How can you say that when you have a similar background as me? How can you say that when the first time I shifted, I might have eaten a friend of mine?" The old alpha is wheezing, and we

Eddie wants to rip apart Joseph piece by piece. And his pack must sense it, because they crowd around him, giving him warning growls. He doesn't care, his own pack brushing up in front of him. The tension and anger is making Eddie's fur stand on end, and he tries to dispel it by shaking his head. It doesn't help; this was a choice that Lucas more than likely got talked into. Although he was eighteen, there's no way he would have chosen a life like this. Even with the estates, and money, Eddie still yearned for his life. And now his friend was a werewolf for his rival pack. Eddie could feel his body trying to talk to Lucas or Joseph, but since Lucas was connected to a different pack, he couldn't say the words he wanted to say. "Look, Eddie, I tried to civil. Didn't spring anything on you, and I gave you many options to leave. And you ignored all of them." Joseph said, inspecting his nails. "Nothing more will happen if you'll just leave and never come back. I'll
They pile on Eddie, Joseph running inside the house. Gunshots fire out, and Eddie can feel himself losing control of his human side, as his wolf struggles to be freed. He snarls, and howls, knowing that they will hear him crying out. The girl smashes her fist in his stomach, cutting off the howl, and sending him to the ground. The breath leaves his body for a moment, and he stumbles downward. Another one jumps on his back, claws digging into his side, and he feels a sense of warmth dripping down his sides. The smell of his own blood catches his attention, and it was with that the change took over. The others flew off of him, as Eddie let out a furious howl, shifting into his wolf form, fangs flashing. Suddenly, Eddie's pack charged in, snarling and howling. They crowded the front of Eddie's grandmother house, tearing up the grass and flowers of it. Shots are heard from inside of the house, and Joseph dives out, landing on the ground. He whistles, causing his pack to growl, but t
Litzy went into the kitchen, and began to cook, the smell of bacon, and then onions drifting through the air. Eddie could feel his stomach rumble with hunger, but he decided to stay back. Abuelita began to tell Eddie everything that had happened since he up and disappeared three weeks ago. How these new cholos had seem more different, and animal like. Senora Lorena had even placed a rosary out, and said her prayers to them. They had laughed, but Abuelita explained that the only reason that had been done was because of how non-humans they were. Surely, there was something paranormal about them, demons or diablos pretending to be humans. Eddie didn't want to brush her worries off-she was spot on, but also he felt like revealing their true nature was a breach of something. He held his grandmother's hands, trying to comfort her. There was a knock then, and everyone froze, before a clatter was heard in the kitchen. Litzy strode over again with the shotgun, loading it
Eddie slipped back into town, telling his pack to stay back to better get familiar with the new town they were staying at.They seemed reluctant but agreed to his orders and watched him leave. To be honest, Eddie didn't want the other pack to feel threatened by bringing his whole pack. And all he wanted to do was see his Abuelita.Eddie still sent over money to her accounts, and when she had called him and asked how he was getting the money, Eddie had lied and said he was back to doing odd jobs.Abuelita had accepted this answer, saying to praise God for the blessings. Eddie nodded, ensuring that he was placing a good chunk of his estate into his Abuelita's savings. He had borrowed a car, a simple black one that didn't really catch too much attention, and slipped inside, starting it.Once on the road, he sped off in the familiar path to his home, noticing that most of the people weren't out on the yards nor sidewalks. The town seemed emptier, and he couldn't see anyone running around
The swelling has gone down in Eddie's jaw, and they have settled into their new home in the countryside. Eddie will go over to his Abuelita's in the morning, but for now, he mopes about the cheap shot that Joseph took. Him, and his pack disappeared once they saw that Eddie was on the ground. And though the hit hurt, Eddie was more stunned at seeing Lucas alive. Stunned and relieved. After talking it over with his pack, Eddie concluded that the blood found on his clothes was in fact the blood of a deer. "Werewolves don't usually eat humans. I mean if you shift too close to them the first time, damage will be caused but to eat them? Not likely." Tric had said, as she bounded down the stairs, David in front. Eddie stared after her, not noticing the couch dip as Addie sat next to him. "Are you okay Eddie?" Addie asked, and Eddie dropped the ice pack he was using for the swelling on his face. "Don't really know how to feel. I mean, Lucas is alive but he's w
The moment the tires of the RV crossed into town, Eddie felt something prickle under his skin. Faint alarm bells went off in his head, and they got stronger as they made way to their new home. Beside hime, Addie had stopped talking, noticing the way he had stiffened. "Is something the matter?" she asked, which brought Brayden's attention. David, who had traded places with Brayden driving the RV, looked up as well. Only Tric said nothing, as she turned on her side, and slept, the blankets up to her ears. "It's probably nothing." Eddie tried to assure, but there was something there. Something he couldn't pinpoint, and if he was in his wolf form, his hairs would be standing on end. David hit the brakes then, causing everyone to lurch forward, and Tric fell off the bed, swearing as she landed on her back. "What the fuck David?" Tric yelled, rubbing the back of her head, as she got up. "We have a problem." David said in a tight voice, and Eddie got up then,
