“What’s on your mind, Aiden?” Lorenzo asked, his voice gentle but firm.

Aiden turned slowly, his face a mixture of anxiety and indecision. “I don’t know how to say it, Grandfather.”

“Whatever it is, you can tell me,” Lorenzo encouraged, his eyes steady and reassuring.
