A deep hum resonated through the cavern, vibrating in Noah’s bones. The pulsing core before them shifted, dark tendrils snaking outward like it was alive.

Killian stepped in front of Noah, his sword raised. "I don’t like this."

Vance rolled his shoulders. "We came all this way. Might as well see what happens."
