A new hero

The two Crimsonscale dragons charged towards Arthur, their eyes fixated at him.

Their sharp talons scraped against the ground as they readied themselves to strike.

Arthur's heart raced in his chest as he braced for impact.

But in that moment, he moved swiftly like a snake, his speed so sudden that it caught the dragons off guard.

Without hesitation, Arthur moved swiftly like a snake, dodging the dragon's fire breath with incredible speed.

With a quick leap, he jumped onto the back of one of the dragons and raised his sword high above his head to strike.

"Venomous strike!" Arthur yelled as his system appeared with the activation command.

[Venomous strike<Activate>]

As he chanted the skill, his sword blade began to change colour, oozing off a black mist.

With deadly precision, Arthur struck the dragon down its throat, piercing it with his sword.

A black cloud of smoke engulfed the dragon as it inhaled the poison oozing out of Arthur's body.

The dragon crashed to the ground, dead.

Arthur pulled out his sword and walked out of the cloud of poison.

His system appeared once again, revealing a new skill:

[Upgrading Venomous strike.

New skill unlocked: <Poison mist]

A grin appeared on Arthur's face as he felt the power coursing through his body.

He had just taken down two dragons and was leveling up fast.

The villagers who had been watching in awe cheered as celebrated their hero.

Thomas and Jack watched with their jaws dropped, amazed at Arthur's abilities.

"Now then," Arthur raised his sword and pointed it at the last dragon hovering in the air. "You're the last one. Come at me. I'd play with you."

The dragon, seeing the deaths of its kins and witnessing Arthur's power, turned around and tried to escape.

But Arthur wouldn't let it go. His hand balled with energy, and a fiery spear appeared.

"Crimson saber!" He yelled as he hurled the spear at the dragon with all his might.

The impact of the spear piercing through the dragon's heart created shockwaves, and an explosion sound that flattened everyone to their knees.

As the last dragon crashed to the ground with a big hole in its chest, Arthur breathed heavily.

He knew he had used up a lot of his HP, but surprisingly, he was still standing strong and hale even after defeating three dragons at his level.

Thomas and Jack looked at each other in disbelief. "I... I know he is strong, but I never knew he was this powerful," Jack stuttered.

Thomas nodded in agreement, "That is no ordinary man. We are not in his level. How can one man take down three dragons at once? Not even the legendary hero can handle one Crimsonscale dragon."

Thomas turned to Lily and he received a shock that travelled through his bone marrows.

Lily was captivated by Arthur. Her eyes were wide, showing her maddening interest in Arthur.

"Amazing," her lips whispered. "I want to serve him so bad."

After defeating the three Crimsonscale dragons, Arthur was celebrated as a hero by the villagers.

They cheered and rushed to him, patting his back and shaking his hand.

Baldwin, the village mayor, approached him and said, "Well done, Arthur. You saved us all from those dragons. You're a true hero."

Arthur smiled, feeling proud of his accomplishment. "I just did what I had to do," he said, modestly.

The mayor of the village, a short and stout man with a bald head, invited Arthur to his house to thank him personally.

"Please come in, Arthur," he said, leading him to a spacious room with a big wooden table and chairs. "You saved us all from those beasts. We're forever in your debt."

Arthur sat down, feeling a little uncomfortable with all the attention he was getting.

The mayor brought out a big chest and opened it, revealing gold coins and various items.

"We want to offer you this as a token of our gratitude," he said, smiling warmly.

Arthur was surprised by the amount of money in the chest.

"I can't accept this, sir," he said, shaking his head. "I did what I had to do to protect this village."

Thomas, who was standing next to him, nudged him. "Take it, Arthur," he whispered. "You'll need resources for your quest. Besides if you don't, it'd hurt the mayor's pride. Heros are adored around here."

Arthur sighed and nodded, knowing that Thomas was right. "Thank you, sir," he said, gratefully. "I'll accept this on behalf of the village."

The mayor beamed, pleased that Arthur had accepted their offering.

"I have one more thing to offer you, Arthur," he said, standing up. "I have a horse and the best sword in the village. I want you to have them, as a show of our gratitude."

Arthur was taken aback. "I don't know what to say, sir," he said, feeling overwhelmed by the mayor's generosity.

The mayor patted his back. "It's the least we can do for our hero," he said, smiling.

Arthur felt a warm glow inside. He now had a map, money, food, and a horse and sword to carry on his quest for godhood.

He stood up, feeling grateful to the villagers. "Thank you, sir," he said, bowing his head. "I won't forget this kindness."

The next day, while the villagers were busy fixing the burnt village, Arthur was preparing for his journey.

Thomas and Jack were there to assist him in gathering supplies and getting his horse ready.

As they helped him pack his things, Arthur felt a pang of sadness in his heart.

He had only known these people for a short time, but they had been good to him.

As he bid farewell to his friends, they shook hands and wished him good luck.

"It wasn't for long, but the short time we've spent with you was a life-changing experience," said Thomas, a hint of sadness in his voice.

As he mounted his horse and rode out of the village, Arthur felt a rush of excitement for his journey to leveling up to godhood.

His life in this new world was filled with promises and adventures. He couldn't wait to see what was in store for him.

He followed the map, riding his horse through different terrains - from lush forests to swamps and rocky mountains.

As the day grew late, Arthur decided to set up camp somewhere.

He found a clearing and started a fire, using his skills to start it with ease.

As Arthur watched the fire burning, he decided to check his stats. He hadn't bothered to check it until now.

He stretched out his hand and his stats screen appeared.

Arthur's eyes widened. He couldn't believe it.

[Magic: 10000

Attack: 5000

Defense: 5000

Job class: Multi class.

Level: 1000

Skills: 13

BP: 5000]

"Taking down those three dragons must've increased my stats remarkably well," Arthur said thoughtfully. "I wonder what my skills are."

Another screen appeared.

[ Newly Acquired skills:

<Dragonfire breathing

<Poison mist

<Dragon scales

<Dragon speak

<Dragon blood

<Dragon form

<Dragon summoning]

Arthur perused the list of new skills with rapt attention, marveling at the significant progress he had made in a short amount of time.

His eyes widened as he absorbed the information, exclaiming "Woah, I can't believe I gained so much in such a short period of time."

At that moment, a loud growl emanated from Arthur's stomach.

That's when he realize he had not eaten anything since he began his journey.

He reached into the large bag hanging from his horse to search for some food.

In his haste, Arthur carelessly dropped the weighty bag on the ground.

To his surprise, he heard a yelp of pain emanating from the bag.

Startled, he froze, wondering what could be inside.

Curious, he opened the bag and was shocked to see Lily cowering inside, cradling her aching butt.

"That hurts," Lily groaned in pain.

Arthur was taken aback, and his voice rose in surprise as he queried, "Lily, what are you doing here?"
