The godleveling system

Arthur quickly tried to cover himself with his hands, his cheeks burning with embarrassment.

"I'm so sorry," he stammered, looking around frantically for something to cover himself with. "I must have...lost my clothes."

The trio exchanged glances, trying to hide their amusement at the situation.

Finally, the girl spoke up. "Don't worry," she said with a small smile. "We won't tell anyone. But maybe you should come with us. We can help you find something to wear."

They handed him a robe which he accepted and wore to cover his nakedness.

"Thank you," Arthur said, relieved and grateful for their kindness.

"Please, allow me to introduce ourselves. We call ourselves the 'Wild Hunters'," he said. "I'm Thomas." He extended his hand for a handshake.

Arthur hesitated then shook his hand, "I am Arthur. You guys are adventurers, right?"

Thomas nodded with pride. "That's right.  We are a tight-knit team who had been adventuring together for several months now."

Thomas was in his mid-thirties, tall and muscular with a rugged appearance.

The second adventurer, a younger man in his twenties, stepped forward next.

He was tall and lean, with a mischievous look in his eyes.

"I'm Jack," he said. "I'm the archer of the group. I can shoot the eye out of a bird from a hundred yards away."

The final member of the party was a young girl named Lily.

She was petite with long, flowing auburn hair and bright blue eyes that shone with intelligence.

"My name is Lily," she said, her eyes staring at Arthur's feet. "I'm a mage."

She wielded a magical staff, which had been passed down to her from her mother.

The staff was intricately carved with symbols and runes that glowed with a faint blue light whenever Lily used its power.

With her staff, Lily was able to cast spells that ranged from simple fireballs to more complex spells that could heal wounds or summon powerful elemental creatures.

As they introduced themselves, Arthur couldn't help but be impressed by the skills and talents of this group of adventurers.

"We're really grateful to you for killing that King Cobra. Goodness, it did a number on us," Thomas said staring at the dead Cobra.

"Oh, it's nothing really—" Arthur was stopped mid-way as his system appeared:

Arthur was taken aback by his newly updated stats.

"Woah," Arthur's eyes widened. "I'm leveling up really fast. Amazing."

Thomas cocked his head, "Did you say something?"

Arthur turned sharply to him. "Oh, it's nothing. What are you guys doing out here in the forest?"

"Jack, cut off the king Cobra's fangs," Thomas ordered Jack, then turned to Arthur. "We accepted a quest to eliminate that thing."

Arthur chuckled uneasily. "Sorry I interfered."

"No, you shouldn't apologise. We owe you one for saving our lives," Thomas said. "Come with us. We'll treat you."

Arthur bowed slightly, "Thank you. I appreciate this a lot."

Meanwhile, Lily whom stood by the sideline, had her eyes fixed on Arthur.

She sensed there was something special about him.

                                 * * * *

Arthur and the "Wild Hunters" adventuring party arrived at a small village called Misthaven.

The village was quaint with cobblestone streets and small wooden houses, but it was still bustling with activity.

Arthur walked behind the group, taking in his surroundings as they made their way towards the inn.

The village was small, but not so small that everyone knew each other's name.

The inn they arrived at was called the Drunken Griffin.

It was a two-story building with a thatched roof and a wooden sign hanging over the entrance.

Thomas turned to Jack and told him to head to the guild and receive their wages for the King Cobra they had hunted down earlier.

"Don't forget to submit its fangs as evidence," he added.

Jack saluted and then winked at Arthur before walking away.

Arthur was intrigued that there was a guild in this village.

It meant that this world was definitely a fantasy world just like the ones he played in video games.

He immediately thought of "Chronicles of Eternity," and compared it to what he was seeing.

This world was real. It was a different dimension from the real world he knew.

Thomas guided Arthur inside the inn, and they met with the landlord.

The landlord was a burly man with a thick beard, who was wiping a mug with a dirty rag when they entered.

"Good evening," Thomas said, "We are in need of a room for the night."

The landlord looked them up and down before responding, "We have a few rooms available. How many are you?"

"We are three, including our new friend here," Thomas said, gesturing towards Arthur.

The landlord looked at Arthur and said, "I don't think I've seen you around here before. Are you one of their new party members?"

Thomas laughed and said, "We are still yet to get to that. Let's just say that Arthur here took down a King Cobra all by himself."

The landlord's eyes widened in shock. "Impossible!" he exclaimed.

Thomas took out some coins from his purse and counted them out before handing them over to the landlord.

"We'll take a room for four and pay for a three-day stay," he said to Arthur. "Consider it a repayment for saving our lives."

Arthur bowed slightly and thanked him, while Thomas nudged him and laughed,

"Don't be so modest, lad. Why don't you join us later for dinner?"

Arthur agreed, and Thomas left him alone with the landlord.

The landlord led Arthur up the stairs to his room, trying to make conversation along the way.

But Arthur only answered his questions lightly, not wanting to reveal too much about himself.

The room was small, with only a bed and a wooden table and chair.

But it was clean and cozy, and Arthur was grateful to have a place to rest for the night.

Alone in his room, Arthur walked over to his bed and sat on it, feeling exhausted from the day's events.

He suddenly caught himself in the mirror. He stood up and stared at his reflection.

He still had the same gloomy bored face but his fat physic was gone. He looked a lot younger, clean shaven and in shape.

There was no denying it. He was in a different world but nothing much has changed.

He let out a deep sigh and stared out the window, lost in thoughts.

The moon was shining brightly in the night sky, casting a pale light across the room.

He had been asked a lot of questions by Thomas on their way to the village.

Questions like where he was from, what he did for a living, and why he was traveling alone.

For security reasons, Arthur didn't tell him he was an otherworlder.

Instead, he lied and said he was a traveler who got lost in the forest.

As he gazed out the window, Arthur couldn't help but wonder if his story had stuck.

He didn't know if Thomas believed him or not, and he didn't care.

All he could think about was his purpose in this world.

"Jeez, what's my purpose here? Why did I get transitioned to this world?" he muttered to himself.

Just then, his system screen appeared with a message of information:

[Answer: You have possessed The god-leveling system].

Arthur's eyes widened in shock as he read the message.

"Did you just say, the god leveling system?" he exclaimed, unable to believe what he was seeing.
