Episode 23 I cought a thief last night

James sat down and extended his hand my name is James Mataka and you ?'' he said with a smile " miss Mataka," she said shaking hands with him " are you pulling my lag? is your last name Mataka too ? " he asked to be sure and Ruth just nodded her head '' my name is Ana Mataka ," she said sipping her drink " where are you from?" he asked but Ruth just looked at him with no intention to answer and continue drinking " ok ok maybe I asked too soon but why are you putting on a mask may I know the reason or you just want people to no recognize you ?" he asked again even if he did not get the answer for the previous question and Ruth did not say anything but just remove her mask with eyes closed and a big scar was reviewed and soon she put on her mask again " what happened to you ?" James asked with concern but Ruth just stood up and said she was going.

we no am sorry beautiful I just remembered her it's just that she gives me headache and she puts on a masked but is different compared to you ." he said defending himself and Ruth just looked at him.

Ruth sat down looking at James he looked tired and tipsy " you are beautiful without a mask you don't need that it even with your scar you are fine to me ," James said " you are a bit drank let me take you home " Ruth said helping him to stand up " yes I am so you will drive " he said giving her the keys of his car '' your car can stay here without a problem but my bike can't so your car will stay here tonight you will get it tomorrow morning ," Ruth said and James agreed soon he was screaming " you are driving too fast Ana can you slow down" he said but Ruth kept going and soon they where at James house Ruth carried him inside the house using his keys she found in the pocket she unlock the door.

James was surprised to be home " how did you know my home address?" he asked her when she was putting him on the sofa " have you forgotten? you told me yourself ," but James was sleeping already Ruth sensed sameone coming in but she just stood there the person shouting James's name when the person came in Ruth recognized her it was Judith but as soon as she entered she attached Ruth and tai her up in the room of course Ruth pretended she could not afford anymore mistakes she has brought James without pretending to not know his home so it's the list she could do now she could not let them know she knows how to fightJudith who was going by Jemima now took James to his room and put Ruth in the pantry room so that she could show James the next day and sleep in the other room thinking Ruth was a thief.

It was morning the following day Jemima shouted working James up " when did you get here Jemima? can't you let me sleep?" he said lazily " no can do man we need to go now! there is an emergency at the office," she said hearing this James got up and dressed the police patrol car was waiting for them outside James was surprised as to where the car was taking them it was going straight to the bar he was yesterday " where are we going? I thought we are going to the office first? " James asked the man who was driving '' boss same one was killed last night near the bar '' the driver said " what do you mean I was here last night how could this happened ?" he asked " I don't know boss ," the driver answer.

James was in shock how did it happen could it be the assassin girl? he thought that little girl has been bothering him for two years now ever since he became a police officer he has been hearing about her ' where are you Ruth ? the day I will manage to arrest you I will make sure you pay including your boss ' James was lost in thoughts to him Ruth was young she could not do all that alone there must be some one backing her up " James are you ok ?" Jemima asked " remind me to get my car at the bar ok" he said.

Just outside the bar after closing the road there was a pit the dead body was there taking it out they checked it " it's her ," James said angry " she is a silent killer the bar was full yesterday how come? how did she do it just how?"James asked no one in particular the killing was too much just yesterday day she killed more than ten people and James's boss was angry at him saying he is not doing his job well.

James was holding his chen and soon the news reporter came asking them questions the day was spent investing but found nothing at all the killer was good at hiding her tracks " did I get that wested last night? how did I even get home? " James asked Jemima " you came with a motorcycle yesterday I don't even know where you got it and you were wested and I found a thife trying to rob you I was going to surprise you after we knock off but since you ask I have to tell you the girl had a mask on ," Jemima said smiling " a thif in my apartment ,? he asked then he reminded Ana he looked at Jemima " or no let's go," hiding her hand they get to the car and James drove fast.

Jemima was surprised the car was going fast " stop James please slow down what's going on? don't kill us ok am the only one my brother have and am still young," she said " don't worry am a professional driver I know what am doing'' he said still driving fast.

James get into the house " where did you put her ?" he asked " who?" Jemima asked " the girl you mistaken as a thief where is she ?" because of the way James was shouting Jemima just pointed at the small room in the house James rushed there and untie her it was in did Ana " how are you feeling? am sorry my friend mistook you for a thief " he said " wait you mean you know her ?" Jemima asked " she is the one who helped me to come home I was very angry about the assassin girl that I got drunk and Ana kept me company even brought me home," he said '' am sorry Ana I had no idea but why do you put in a mask like a thief? are you sure you are not a thief ? because that mask I don't trust you mum " she asked Ruth sitting next to her " that's her business Ana it's personal why don't you ask for forgiveness and not asking too much" he said " I did that if she don't want to forgive me why should I be bothered she said looking at Ruth with hate in her eyes.

Ruth was lost in thoughts Judith did not change much she may be older now but she is still stubborn she never liked to apologize even when she was young and she still hates mask she remembered one day there was a costume party and home and Ruth's mum bought them hero costumes with black mask Judith refused to put on a mask saying thieves are the ones to be disguised " what's long with putting on mask ?" Ruth asked " well only thieves can hide there faces not heroes I hate mask they can make people suffer ," she said and James got angry but Ruth stopped him " am sorry mr Mataka but I need to live i have other things to do home," Ruth said standing up but James hold her hand stopping her " you have to eat first" he said standing up " no need I will eat home" and she left James was angry " I hope you are happy know miss Mwape James said sitting on the couch " what did I do?" Jemima asked but James just went to his room and locked himself in after bagging James to open the door and he refused she left and went back home.

James closed his but he could not forget her eyes Ruth was cool she could not get out of his head how can someone be so quiet she was beautiful even with the scar she looked beautiful he texted Ruth on his phone he could not forget her even if she could not laugh he was sure her smile was beautiful ' what happened to her ? how can she have such a scar?' he thought but no answer he just hopped she forgives him and Jemima he texted her to meet him at any free time but no reply came.
