The house was silent...

Mia had spent the whole day packing up a few of her things with the help of China while Berlin waited patiently in the living room.

The day had gone by rather quickly than they had imagined it to and the sun was starting to set.

Normally, it wouldn't take a person that long to pack up just a few clothes and personal things but Mia had purposely been stalling.

Her conscience ate at her from the inside like a wild vicious beast that had been left to starve for a very long time, only to meet with a helpless prey at its weakest and most desperate time.

She didn't want to leave but also, she wanted to. Why did Berlin have to be so impatient about appeasing his dead wife? She wasn't in a hurry to settle down anyway so why the rush?
