Madam Rita returned into the kitchen to carry out her young mistress’ order before she was done with her bath. She decided to make some bacon with the eggs and she served it with a little peas as well. The black coffee was making a spiral in the middle as Madam Rita turned it with a spoon for some reason. Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't realized what she was doing. Janet walked down the stairs dressed freshly in a faded blue skinny jeans and a white and blue striped slightly oversized shirt. Her small purse hung down from her shoulder with a fair white that matched the color of her canvas and the stairs barely gave way to a creak as she climbed down on them. She let her long brown hair fall over her shoulders in a stylishly casual way and she had painted her lips red. A tomato red to be precise. A color that went perfectly well with her white fair skin. A golden ball shaped earring dropped down and dangled from her ear with a pendant of the same resemblance almost in the middle

The hidden heir of Wayne One fifty nine: Disastrous dinner
The air suddenly became stuffy as Ivan stared at both of them. Thankfully, he had called her over to explain the situation of things but he still felt awkward being seen with another woman in such a situation. He only told her his aunt had brought him a wife. “Janet Banks?” Vienna asked with an arched brow. “Vienna Fawn?” Janet rose from her chair as she called out Vienna's name. Her eyes traveled back to Ivan but then at Alfred. “What is going on here?” Both Vienna and Janet asked at the same time but at different people. Janet asked Alfred while Vienna asked Ivan. Ivan rose to his feet. “Vienna, please join us. Janet, I believe you should understand what's going on. I only just remembered where I know you from. I think we met this morning, I told you that I was getting married when we did, remember?” “So you… you are the hidden heir of Wayne???” She asked surprisedly. Her little finger pointed at Ivan.“Yes I am. And you are the daughter of the Banks conglomerate family? Mafi

The room was silent for a while and it was uncomfortably deafening to Ivan. He made to speak but Alfred stopped him and silently shook his head. Meaning, Ivan should make no hasty decisions. Ivan fought the urge to disobey Alfred and just remained where he was for the time being. “I'm saying… your nephew is not worth marrying into my family. I have only met him once today and he has tried to trick me and also insulted my family. How am I to overlook something that is obviously not so minor?” Janet went on with her explanation.Ms. Wayne was very surprised to hear the words that left her mouth. Impossible! She knew Ivan and she was very sure he would never do something as terrible as that. But she wouldn't blindly support her nephew, she was not the kind of woman to do that. She had to set things right with the Banks family, she could never let the heir walk out of her nephew's home while in such a terrible mood. “Ms. Banks, firstly, let me apologize to you.” Ms. Wayne bent almost

Two beautiful sets of eyes stared at Ivan but his was only on one woman.Janet, at first, told herself she was going nowhere, not after the way he tried to command her, but she wanted to hear from the horse's mouth what he had to say so she decided to go with him.“Please keep my party going.” She said to Ms. Wayne who responded with a smile and a partial nod. More of a bow to send the young lady going. Janet tried to stand up on her own two feet but suddenly felt a wave of breeze blow past her and she almost lost her balance. Ms. Wayne immediately supported her before she fell and Janet gave a soft chuckle. “I must have had way too much to drink.” Ms. Wayne nodded her head, though a little concerned for the clumsy girl. Ivan rolled his eyes as he sent his hand into the depth of his pocket. So she was a drunkard, he thought to himself. She managed to rise to her feet the second time and emptied her glass at one g
The hidden heir of Wayne One sixty two: Feeling sick
The air around her seemed to stop, her breathing became slower and the butterflies turned into zombies eating her up from the inside. What is wrong with me? She asked herself while placing a hand on her stomach. ‘I'm not hungry. I already ate so much inside so why do I feel this way?’ She panted heavily, feeling like she had just run a marathon and her legs became wobbly. She even needed to rest on her knees to keep herself up.“Ms Banks? Are you alright? Are you feeeeelllllliiiiinnnggg ooookkkkaaaayyyy?” His words suddenly began to slow down in her ears. She looked up at him while trying to breathe and she didn't know which was him from the three blurry visions she could see. She couldn't tell him apart from her hallucinations. Ivan looked at her with so much worry glinting in his eyes as he placed his hand on her back and

Go get him!” Ivan ordered him and Alfred rushed out of the room on command. Trevor had remained by the door and peaked out of the room, he saw Alfred running as fast as his old legs could allow him.Seconds later, the man came back rushing in with a man dressed like a doctor carrying a bag of maybe equipment in his hand and they both dashed down the hall as fast as they could and made their way into Ivan's room. “Uhm.. Vienna.” Trevor called out to her and she grumbled a reply. He didn't care about how she responded though, as long as she did. “What did you say happened to Janet?”“She was drunk, why?” She angrily questioned him as she remained seated on the bed
The hidden heir of Wayne One sixty four: Bad wishes
They were all silently still while waiting for madam Rita to respond and she didn't hesitate to tell them all it was that she knew as well. “My madam doesn't take drugs if that's what you are asking, even at times that she falls ill, she would rather have an injection than pills.” Madam Rita responded. “Hmm,” the doctor seemed to be brooding for a moment. “I don't know what could have happened to her and I can't be certain until I have run some tests. I am only asking if she takes any pills because there are situations where a pill reacts wrongly with alcohol and can cause a reaction like hers.“There was a patient with similar symptoms and it was because she was on some drugs that shouldn't be taken with alcohol. Her heart seized and her lungs were swollen. The wrong chemicals born from the substance and the alcohol caused the production of red blood cells to stop and if she hadn't been taken care of, she would have died.”The doctor's story brought surprised reactions on each of t

The man explained how his mother told them their deaths had been decided by the Andrews. When Ivan's real father found out about this, he told his wife to stay away on the day of his accident and protect his child while he remained in the car with a maid who agreed to sacrifice herself for the safety of her boss. They didn't want to drag anyone down with them but the woman insisted. So their enemies would be convinced and Ivan would be safe. “I can't believe this…” Ivan muttered to himself. Even Alfred was a little shaken by the story. He didn't know why they didn't include him in the plan, maybe because they knew he would never let them go ahead with it. He held back the urge to cry. Ivan felt like he was broken to pieces. “My mother…” he said softly and all eyes fell on him. “Where is she now? Do you know where she is?” His father seemed hesitant but nodded his head. “She attended your step mother's funeral to show her last respect. She came around sometimes just to check on yo

They all went inside and sat at the dining table. The maids surrounded them and began serving slices of pies. LD climbed down from her seat that was next to her grandmother. “Daddy!” She wailed as she hurried to Ivan. Ivan immediately caught her in his arms and lifted her into his lap. “What's wrong? Is there something bothering you?” She nodded her head but said nothing. They all watched her in fear. Neither of them understood what was wrong with her to make her almost tear up and worry and anxiety swallowed them up as they waited for her to confess to her father. “Go ahead Darling, you can tell me anything.” Ivan said in a soft tone. Janet was already on her feet and she hurried to the other side of Ivan's chair where she could meet with LD's gaze. Placing her hand on her husband's thighs, she crouched down next to him. LD still remained silent in her father's lap with her arms wrapped around his neck.“Here, come on, whisper it in my ear.” Ivan leaned in closer to her with h

Three smiling faces stood close to a fountain, standing impatiently for Ivan and his wife to arrive. The driver opened the door but no one got out. Alfred wondered what was keeping them but he declined when Mrs Banks said to go to them instead. He decided they would just wait for them to join them. “We'll be a minute.” Ivan said to his driver and the handsome young man nodded his head and gently slammed the door back. “Is there… is there a problem?” Mrs Banks asked again but Alfred's decision to wait behind still stood. “They'll come out eventually, let's just wait and see what is going on first.” Alfred responded in a respectful manner and Mrs Banks nodded her head. Mr Banks didn't bother to protest or even utter a word. He knew that if he were to speak, he would have to break his perfect smile and he worried he would not be able to get a smile as perfect as that again.

Two hundred and four: His own happy ending plan
Heather stood there, stunned, just as every other woman standing in the room. She was sure she had never heard London laugh before. She hadn't even seen the girl smile ever since she was brought to the shelter. Janet hadn't expected less though. Living with Ivan for over five years, she knew the kind of soul he was and she trusted that whatever he put his mind to, he was sure to achieve it. She couldn't have been more proud of him. Ivan carried little London back to his wife and Heather. “London, say hello to your new mom.” Janet smiled and waved at her. “Hello, my name is Janet.” “Hi, I can call you mom, right? Or do you want me to call you Janet?” London sharply responded with a smile. Janet chuckled softly. “You're such a smart little girl. You can call me mom,” she reached forward and gently smoothened London's Goldie locks hair. “I'd like that.” London smiled and nodded her head. “Will you carry me in your arms?” Janet opened her arms wide for her. “Come here.”London unw

Ivan managed to wear a smile on his face even though his heart was shattered to pieces. “Hello there, my name is Ivan.” He said with the brightest smile he could summon. “Do you want to tell me your name?”She silently stared at him, although it seemed as though she wasn't as scared as before. Yet she didn't utter a single word and neither did her gaze leave Ivan. “You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I don't force you to do anything you don't want to do. Although I would really like to know your name. I bet it must be as pretty as your eyes.” Ivan spoke softly. Even though he already knew what her name was, he was hoping to hear her say it to him. “London…” the scared little girl responded softly, almost as soft as a whisper. Ivan smiled brightly from his heart now, a smile that reached his eyes. “I knew it, I knew it would be something pretty. Do you remember my name, London?” She nodded her head, her knees folded in front of her to rest on her chest. “Do you want t

Two hundred and two: At the orphanage
Breakfast was served the next morning and as Ivan had mentioned, they had small talks about the best choice of orphanage to go to and the list had been summed up to the best three. “Okay,” Alfred started. “So we are down to smile orphanage, bright sun and victorious home. And the decision is down to you, young master Wayne. Which one would you like to go to today?” Ivan relaxed into his seat and let himself think for a minute before answering. “I got it!” All eyes fell on him as he exclaimed. “Today, well go to bright sun orphanage,”“Excellent choice young master Way–”“I'm not finished.” Ivan cut Alfred off. “Today, we'll go to bright sun orphanage, tomorrow, we'll go to smile and the day after, we'll go to victorious home.” Alfred was thrown into a pit of confusion. “You… you want to visit all three places?” His brow arched subconsciously as he questioned. “Why not? Jane wants to adopt three kids after all, nothing limits us to adopting from one place or is there a rule or some
