A frown sat on Ivan's face as he heard the words that left Alfred's mouth. Why couldn't he just have a moment of calm and peace?

"What is the problem? I am kind of in the middle of something." Ivan said to him.

"Your aunt has--"

"Ivan?" His mother called out to him.

"Yeah?" He removed the phone from his ear and turned around to face her with a smile on his face.

"Everyone is ready, are you busy?" She asked after noticing the phone in his hand.

"Oh no no no!" He shook his head. "Not at all, I'll be there in a few seconds." He said with a smile.

She gave him a nod with a gentle smile before walking away to join the rest who were already waiting inside the car for him.

He watched her walk away and enter the car before returning the phone to his ear. "Listen Alfred, I am very very busy right now, there is no way I can leave what I'm doing right now at least not with any excuse. My family is getting together for the first time in a very long time and I can't afford to be the one to r
