One hundred and sixteen: Regret

Time slowed as they stood in the middle of the garden. With only them and the flowers to tell their tale of sadness.

China did know her fate, she had known that not even in her dreams could she own this man that she really wanted. But she couldn't quite move on with that fact.

Let's wait a little longer, she would tell herself, maybe if we let patience lead the way then it will all turn out just the way we want.

She was patient alright. She stood by him in his times of tribulation and still planned to remain by his side for his greatest tribulation was yet to come. She would give up the world for him just to have him, she didn't even mind if she had to give up her last breath.

Why was love always so harsh on her? Why couldn't she ever get the love she felt she deserves for once? Even her own parents were taught not to love her and she ended up growing up all alone. With no one but her reflection to tell jokes to at night and her shadow to keep her company I'm the day.
