Sixteen: Threatened identity

Ivan felt confused as he read the message, he didn't know how to react especially when his parents were around him. He texted back, asking what the problem was but didn't get a response.

"Ivan, I want to savor this moment, come, let us all take a picture to remember this day." His mother called out to him.

Ivan immediately returned his phone to his pocket and went to meet his mom and dad with a warm and bright smile on his face. "Of course, let us take a beautiful picture and get it framed."

"Oh that sounds lovely." His mother expressed in great joy.

He joined them and they posed for the picture. "Everybody, come on let us put on big smiles for the camera." Ivan's mother said to them, already wearing a big smile on her face.
