Two hundred and ten: Happily ever after

The man explained how his mother told them their deaths had been decided by the Andrews. When Ivan's real father found out about this, he told his wife to stay away on the day of his accident and protect his child while he remained in the car with a maid who agreed to sacrifice herself for the safety of her boss.

They didn't want to drag anyone down with them but the woman insisted. So their enemies would be convinced and Ivan would be safe.

“I can't believe this…” Ivan muttered to himself.

Even Alfred was a little shaken by the story. He didn't know why they didn't include him in the plan, maybe because they knew he would never let them go ahead with it. He held back the urge to cry.

Ivan felt like he was broken to pieces. “My mother…” he said softly and all eyes fell on him. “Where is she now? Do you know where she is?”
