"Do I have a choice?" He said, staring straight into her eyes which were intensely searching his. "If I have a choice then I will be in for a bargain. I will willingly drop the position for someone more capable,"

"You are the only one that is capable, Thomas," Elise said. "I don't think anyone else could handle it better than you because if they could bear the burden it would have been given to them but you were chosen because you are different. You are strong, you are brave, you are a hero and until this is over we will always stand by your side, we will do that because we love and believe in you,"

Thomas saw the sincerity in her eyes. Her words were so encouraging and he could feel it in his marrows. He was short of words and all he could do was stare.

"Thank you for believing in me, I will try my best not to let you all down," He said softly and she reached her hands to him, wrapping them around his palm.

"You won't fail us, I know we will all make it out together," She assured him
