There was no other option than to follow Thomas’s lead. Gaius said that if they will find the key then Thomas was their only chance so no matter how crazy they all thought the idea was, the answer was definitely at the academy.While heading to the academy Elise wondered why Thomas didn’t feel the presence of the key when they were there. Why now all of a sudden? She made the point to the others and Thomas’s excuse was that he was in a lot of stress and pain as a result of what Howard had put him through.They were still perplexed until they arrived at the academy. Thomas moved ahead of them and they followed him inside the building. When they walked in, Thomas felt the presence of the key more strongly as he looked further to the left and there he spotted Howard seated on a chair at a corner of the building, he was laughing like someone who had lost nothing. “That freak is still alive,” Felix said with a frown on his face. He clenched his fists ready to attack but Thomas stopped him.

It took him ten minutes before he spotted the portal and when he had sight on it he realized it was only a matter of seconds before the portal was completely sealed. He hastened with heightened hopes but on reaching the portal he crashed to the floor. He jerked back to his feet as he attempted going through several times but his attempts were all in vain. The portal was open but because of the shield Thomas placed on it no one could either go in or out.Ben knew that they must have tampered with the portal but he never gave up hope. “They made it. They sealed the fourth dimension,” Gaius muttered. They heard loud screams from the alien creatures. It was the cry of retreat.
