"Let him go," Silas said to Elise when she was about to go after Felix. "We have more serious issues to deal with at the moment, he needs time alone,"

Immediately after his comment Elise looked forward to Kelvin who was still seated with his chin resting on his hands. Ever since they gathered there Kelvin hadn't said a word, not even during Felix's explanation of his cruelty.

"Why aren't you saying anything, Kelvin? Is all hope lost?" Elise asked.

Kelvin heaved a sigh as he lifted his gaze to her. "We all heard the king's comment, he is much older than us and must have heard a lot about this incident but I don't think we will give up on Thomas either. I can't spend many more years waiting for the appearance of another runner, we will make sure he gets better because i have a plan,"

They were all strengthened by his comment. It never mattered what the king thinks because as long as Kelvin thinks its possible to restore Thomas to health then it is.

"What is the plan?" David asked.
