It was like his whole world came crashing right before him. Everything that he had been told was a lie.
But the more he tried to figure things out in his head, it only made him get even more confused than he was already.
He had always been told that his father was dead. How come he was now appearing from thin air?
Lut opened his mouth to speak but for quite a while, he was failed by words. Mr. James could already see the expression that was laced all over his face and he stepped forward towards him.
Lut could already feel his slight touch but he didn't budge, continuing to stare at the vast space that was right before him.
"Don't worry son. I am going to explain everything to you." He said.
Even though it had not been done willingly, even Lut didn't realize that he had already nodded his head.
Mr. James could already feel the throbbing of his own heart.
This wasn't going to be easy for the both of them but they had to go through it once and for all if they wanted to bond together like father and son.
"It all began three years after my life and due to this reason, I had to send your mother together with you right after you were born so that you would not be entangled in this.
But this is where I made my biggest mistake. Instead of getting you out of trouble. I only succeeded in getting you into it.
On your way out of the city, I heard that your mother was attacked and she died instantly. While Anna here, who I would forever be grateful to, was able to save you." He explained everything that had happened that night.
The words seemed to run through Lut's head like a cold chilling sensation running through his spine.
He turned around towards his father. But after thinking about it for quite a while, his anger seemed to be returned almost in an instant.
Then why didn't you search for me, Father? You abandoned me to the streets so that I would rot.
You allowed us to suffer gravely. Do you realize the pain that I had been made to go through? The suffering and all along.
You saved me right? Take back the kidney. It would rather be for me to be dead than be saved by someone as cruel as you are." He blotted out.
In an instant, Lut had forgotten that he was still sick. He tried to get up from the bed but fell right back down.
His heart was racing fast and heavy at the same time.
There were tears in Anna's eyes as she watched the child that she had taken care of growing so much.
Mr. Henry stepped forward towards Lut and touched him slightly with his hands, a torrent of energy seemed to run down his body.
"I understand Lut. You have every reason to be angry with me but I did search for you. But it was confirmed by the authorities that you were dead already.
I made sure that the people who were responsible for your supposed death were caught and jailed.
And right from that day, I have been thinking about my lovely wife and you that I haven't gotten married." He responded.
Lut's rising emotions suddenly crashed down. The racing off of my heart is going on even faster.
But there was a piece that was yet to be put in place. That was making something seem so wrong even though his story seemed credible.
With an air of curiosity in his tone, he finally went ahead to inquire.
"But father. How were you able to find me?" He inquired with a sense of respect right in his voice.
Seeing how his son spoke and how intelligent he had now become, a smile formed on his face and he ran his hands through his air before he said.
"The doctor at the free hospital is one of my closest friends. He noticed the resemblance between us and our unique family.
So I had to investigate. And no mistake was made since all the necessary tests had been done." He replied with a smile on his face.
But then, he quickly pushed the smile away from his face, putting up a more serious font seeing that his face was expressionless..
"I'm sorry that I didn't take your permission and I am also sorry that I wasn't able to help you through all the ordeals." He added once again.
This jerked Lut off from his thoughts. He wasn't really angry as his father thought. Rather he was stunned.
Made to believe all his life that he was nothing other than a useless orphan, finding his father with the brick of what he would call his last breath was the last thing that he had thought of.
But it looked like he had been given the second chance that he had been looking for and he promised that he wasn't going to be as stupid as he was the last time.
"You don't need to apologize Dad. I was angry. And I am sorry for my outburst." There was a strand of tear in his eyes and his voice broke away.
Mr. James stepped forward towards him and hugged him tightly which he didn't realize when a strand of it escaped from his eyes.
He beckoned Mia who also Joined them in the hug.
"I have adopted Mia too as my child so that we are going to be siblings as it has always been. He said with a smile on his face after which he pulled away from him.
The family had a wonderful reunion but with a cough, Mr. James stepped forward and said.
"And that remains me. I got the details of the girl that you did the transplant for and I learned that she is your girlfriend so I sent her a few gifts." He said.
The words got them petrified which was followed by a loud exclamation that echoed throughout the hall.
"What?" They exclaimed, getting Mr. confused.
"What had he done wrong?" He thought in his head.

She inquired with a deeper stare.Lut could already see that Aurora's hands were clenched into a clean ball, trying as hard as she could to control the anger that was gradually rising up in her.."I was busy with the report. Everything about it was different, Aurora noted. From the wooden furniture to the brick walls and stone floors, it gave it a rustic feel. Aurora hadn't even eaten yet, but she was telling herself that in her free time, she would be back.Being Lutenant's personal assistant definitely had its perks because without him taking her down here for lunch, she would've never discovered such a place because she rarely went out.“I love the lights.”His voice made her look up and nod. The lighting was soft and complemented the white tablecloths. Each table had flowers, something that was rare in American restaurants.“I'll definitely be back, Lut. This place is beautiful.”“Same here, same here.” Lut said, glancing at his phone. While she tried to pretend she hadn't noticed that he was a bit on his phone than usual, she also tried to pretend that she hadn't noticed him being surprised when she had entered his office earlier on to ask him if they were still going to go for lunch together. She wo

“Aurora…I…I didn't expect you to come in. What is it?”Lutenant asked, looking at his personal assistant. He knew it was lunch time, but he hadn't expected her to come inside his office.“Oh, oh, I'm sorry, Lut. I didn't know you were on the phone. I'll be outside..um.. waiting for lunch.”With those words, she closed the door behind her, leaving his office. Instantly, he felt guilty.“Lut, are you there? Thank you again, for doing this for me. The company won't regret having me as an intern. Thank you very much.”All of a sudden, he wanted to end the call and go on that lunch with Aurora. He stood up, stuttering.“It's okay, Claudia, I understand. I must go for lunch now. I'll call you as soon as I can find out if there is an application form for interns to fill, okay? Have a nice day.”Without waiting for another reply from her, he ended the call. He had to. He hadn't worked for it, even in the slightest. And the man before him who was about to sign a check to a company that barely existed didn't know of this. The entire thing looked surreal. It had fallen into his lap out of the blue.“Here you go. Seventy thousand dollars. The five thousand extra there is for giving me this beautiful office without being hostile. So far, you are the only agency that has treated me with love and without discrimination. Thank you, Mr Richard.”Richard glanced at Douglas, who smiled in spite of himself. He looked away, pretending that the money didn't interest him and that he wasn't eavesdropping.“Thank you, Mr Alvarez. It was nice doing business with you. I'm hoping that this won't be the last property you'll buy from us, you know.”“Of course, it won't. “Why would he treat you in that manner? Come on, you have other things to worry about. Your approaching court case tomorrow, your safety. There are a thousand and one things you should prioritize.”She watched Lut speak, his face showing how angry he was that director Edward had talked to her the way he did a few minutes ago.“It's your choice. If you don't want to be the leader of the workers union, then you don't be. That's all there is to it. Nobody should force you to accept a voluntary position.”She shrugged, knowing that saying something else was adding fuel to fire. Lut already looked angry, and she didn't want him to be more annoyed than he presently was, especially not on an issue that involved her.She was his personal assistant, and he wasn't her babysitter.“It's okay, Lut. It's natural for director Edward to be that way. Have you had breakfast? I can ask the kitchen staff to get something for us.”“No, I'm okay.” He said, shaking his head with a smile. “Mia made me have

The next morning, Richard drove Mr Johnson's Ford truck into the school premises, and parked directly in the parking lot opposite Douglas’s apartment. He knocked, and in seconds the door opened, revealing his friend and acquaintance who also served as a co-worker that had been waiting for him since he made the call that he was going to be there that morning.“What took you so long?”Richard arched an eyebrow in question.“Long? When Lutenant James got home, he was shocked. There was loud, booming bass music coming from his backyard, and there were about five good looking cars in his garage. Where had they all come from?Just as he got down from his car, Terry was beside him in an instant, smiling as he reached for the briefcase in his hand. Surrendering it because he knew that his personal assistant at home wasn't going to stop until he made him comfortable, he cleared his throat, adjusting his tie and freeing up his neck.“What is happening? Why is there strange music coming from my backyard?”Terry's facial expression and his answer already showed that he was in disagreement with the party.“It's your sister, sir. She wanted to have a party with her friends from school despite the fact that I told her that you might not be happy about it. She said she had a right to do whatever she wanted in her brother's house. I tried to tell her how this might affect you, sir…”Lutenant shook his head because he knew th
