The Plan

Ferdinand returned home with Harriett, since she said she had nowhere to go, and too, Ferdinand owed her his life.

As he entered the Hawthorne mansion, Grandpa, friends of the Hawthorne family, along with a few loyal staff members, anxiously awaited Ferdinand's return.

The mood was quite serious as everyone understood how serious the situation was.

Harriett felt a bit awkward as she chose to stand near the entrance because she didn't feel like she belonged in such a fancy place.

Grandpa Hawthorne approached Ferdinand with a mix of relief and concern. "Ferdinand, my boy, you're back!" He said as he hugged Ferdinand tightly, almost lifting him up.

Then he paused and checked if he would see Anabel, but instead, he saw a shy looking girl at the entrance.

"Who is this young lady with you?" he asked.

Ferdinand sighed, his expression heavy with the weight of the ordeal. "This is Harriett, Grandpa. She's the reason I'm standing here today.
